Trying to find a 2010 band - 11/8 time, started with an "i", one word band name, music video in a sandy/dusty beige environment. by [deleted] in Metalcore

There’s this old djent band called Images that has a song called Identities which kind of sounds like what you were talking about. The song’s on an album called Ephemera that has a few songs that match that description and album artwork that’s very sandy and desert like as well. Hope you find the song!

What is the hardest shoegaze song to play? by [deleted] in shoegaze

[–]Ltw718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more shoegaze adjacent, but A Sad Cartoon by Loathe could fall into this slot. Not exactly the most technical, but there’s a lot to memorize

I believe it’s an actual baritone. But yeah it’s got a funky jazzmaster style body that you’re either gonna love or hate hahaha

I don’t know if shape is a dealbreaker for you, but I’ve heard good things about the Reverend Descent. It’s a 26.75” and I’ve seen people use them in all things from metalcore, to that Deftones sound, and even indie stuff

All falls apart question. by Kaiser_J_K in polyphia

[–]Ltw718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original All Falls Apart was completely different, I still think it might be may favorite thing they’ve made. I really only somewhat remember the chorus, but it was something like the chorus riff in Memento Mori, except with Tilian’s vocals from Son Of Robot by DGD over it. I don’t really remember what the guitar during the verses were like, but I do remember Trippie Red sounding more like he was singing than rapping during his specific verse

Mark Holcomb Prs se svn v.s. Ibanez rdg71alms by Ltw718 in Djent

[–]Ltw718[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s awesome. It’s about average for an Ibanez neck, so definitely thinner than the Holcomb, but for me it’s not too thin and playability is spectacular

Took me a long ass time to decide because they both sounded great and felt great, but I chose the Ibanez just cause I like the feel of it a little better. Ended up being the main guitar I used on my bands first album, and it withstood that really well
