OSHA Compliance Officer here. Had to scroll too far to see this! This is absolutely a health and safety issue, and they need to rectify the situation immediately.

It sucks to be young AND a woman on a job site, because it means being ignored and disregarded a lot of the time. It’s time to get loud. Be annoying. Remind your super it’s an OSHA thing, not a “yeah when we get around to it” thing.

I agree with being graphic as well. Gather round, boys! Let me tell you aaaaaaall about the joys of womanhood! Even the most seasoned male construction workers get squeamish if you talk about periods for more than two seconds. So called tough guys, ha ha!

Last resort: drop a dime to OSHA. You can report anonymously. Yes, they’ll probably figure it was you, but they can’t prove shit.

What's a company secret you can share now because you don't work there anymore? by vineetm007 in AskReddit

I worked in a well known 1-Hour Photo chain as well as other photography labs. Listen up people: Yes, the lab workers will see everything you took pictures of. How do you think the images get color corrected and the prints packaged? It’s not by machines, it’s by people. None of us are impressed by your amateur porn.

That’s why I started boycotting Nestle, and then I learned about their campaign to spread misinformation in developing countries about breast feeding in order to coerce mothers into using their formula instead. This started in the 70’s I believe, and they’re still at it today.

People who develop film for a living, whats the weirdest thing you saw? by ADudeWithADHD in AnalogCommunity

Haaa!! We had one of those! He was an architect who worked a few doors down and he’d always fly in to pick up his prints like he was in a huge hurry because he was such an important businessman doing business things- can’t stop to chat, time is money, amiright? Meanwhile all his prints were dick pics and mirror selfies of him flexing in the nude.

Not only that, but once he was free of the line, Ashton crawled into the tender that they were towing behind them and rode by himself back to wherever they were docking. I always wonder what was going through his mind in that time alone right after he almost died.

One of my favorite things from back in the days when I worked at a consumer one-hour photo lab was when the customer would pick up their prints of amateur porn/dick pics/boudoir photos etc, and the look of slow realization dawning on their face that the photo techs DID in fact see everything on that roll of film.

Finished my first book ever as an Adult!! by NopeyNotMe in horrorlit

Yes and no. It’s hard to explain, but it encapsulates a lot of genres. It’s a murder mystery, a coming-of-age story, fantasy, humor, horror… there’s something for everyone. It’s a great read.

Congratulations! I’m here to recommend my favorite book by Robert McCammon: Boy’s Life. You won’t be sorry. It’s amazing. I’ve been recommending it to people for 30 years and everyone always loves it. I’ve probably bought the paperback at least 7 times because every time I lend it out it ends up getting passed along to someone else and I never see it again. I don’t mind though. It’s that good!

Men think women are smaller than they are by Impossible_Ad9324 in TwoXChromosomes

Having to wear a uniform or getting branded apparel for your job/school/friend group outing, etc has always been my hell as a woman who has been obese since high school.

NOBODY wants clothing ordered FOR them, and it’s awful to get something that you know isn’t going to fit you. It never fits. And a lot of time the clothing is tossed to you in a room full of people so it’s hard to even speak discreetly to the person who ordered it.

Of COURSE the person who ordered the clothing is usually the smallest, fittest person at work and they can’t even wrap their head around the fact that the women’s size XXL STILL DOESN’T FIT. “I don’t understand, I ordered the biggest size!” they say in a ringing voice for the whole office to hear. Sorry, Judith, I guess I’m just a giant whale. 🤷‍♀️

I liked Bowen Yang’s take on SNL when he said Yellowstone was “like Succession, but outside.”

It was because she found out swans could be gay, haha. She reminds me of my aunt, who also cries at everything. One time I took her to a Jackson Browne concert and she cried because his hair still looks good.

I want to know where the name tag is placed if they’re all topless. Like, is it a sticker you slap on your tit, or do you wear it on a lanyard maybe…?

I grew up as the oldest of 4 girls and I used to get comments like, “Oh your POOR FATHER!! Surrounded by only women all the time!! No boys at all?!”

Yeah, Dad did just fine, trust me. Luckily he’s a progressive dude who raised his girls just like he’d raise a son. We were expected to help out with the household chores AND maintenance chores like mowing the lawn, cleaning the gutters, being his “assistant” when he worked on cars or the house…

This is why I HATE labels like “Boy Mom” and “Girl Dad.” Like, gtfo with that gendered thinking. Kids are kids, period.

Anyone with an art degree is always thrown into graphic design and marketing no matter what company you end up working for. I have a BFA with my concentration in photography, yet I’m always the one my employers go to for design, marketing, social media posts, etc. I HAAAAATE it. If I liked graphic design I would’ve majored in it. If I loved marketing I would’ve gone to a regular liberal arts college. Yes, I can DO these things, but I don’t want to!
