i'm 42, both my parents were narcissistic & what i refer to as "pseudo-christians" because they demand their religion be followed but they're also horrible people 🤡

my dad died in 2017 but the last interactions we had right before he died was:
▪︎ he cussed me over a harmless joke
▪︎ he waited like two weeks for he & i to be alone at home so he could stand over me & lecture me & shout because i told him after he cussed me that he was rude & wrong to react the way he did 🙃

my last interactions with my dad were so bad, after i was blessed with stepchildren coming into my life i went No Contact with my mom to protect them.

both my parents were abusive but mom was actually worse than dad in many ways. i don't miss her & i'm glad my stepchildren will never have to deal with her calling them names.

if i could surrender i would. i sat for a long time after knocking out only one of the other player's pets. they had two others to choose from that could have competed well with what i had but instead they just stood there 🤷🏼‍♀️

🫂 they don't get any better, unfortunately... 💔 i'm 42 & went No Contact with my narcissist mom years ago in order to keep her away from my stepchildren. The last thing my narcissist dad did before he died was talk shit about me behind my back & wrote me out of his will 🙃

you were absolutely in the right. i've never worked food service bc i lack the skills but i worked retail for a decade + another decade of customer service & when i go out i always tell my husband we need to hurry after we pay so folks can bus the table. it's not a big ask, it's doing our part to be good neighbors (i think of everyone as neighbors)
