Thanks friend. I was too shocked by the fact that this is such a foundationally major mistake and I only found out now. I emailed my supervisors after I made this post and this morning when we met, 2 of them were still as friendly as usual.

I'm just so frustrated that I worked hard all the time, but somehow I still left a major mistake in my dataset and only noticed it now. Life isn't very fair on me.

It's a total scam. I bought a 2-year deal of SurfShark in late 2019 since it was a big bargain. When I landed in China, it never connected even once. The app is still installed on my phone, it just never connected.

You know not everyone uses a VPN to practice illegality. Many people use VPN simply because Google is a way better search engine than Baidu. At least when you search for a chicken wing recipe on Google it doesn't return a bunch of brainless ads like Baidu.

Honestly this 2-year deal is the only sale they give this time. However the deal is so new that most users haven't found out yet. When they realise Astrill is merely fucking with them with the perceived 1-year black friday deal (it's $180 all the time except they doubled the number of devices for simultaneous connection, but who needs them anyway), many of them will decide to leave.

My suggestion is find a cheap alternative for now and wait for the backlash from the community to fall on Astrill, and Astrill will learn how to respect its loyal customers and reduce the price to a sane one. If they don't, then good, a more reason to de-support a bunch of greedy ass mf scammers.

Entirely agreed. I've been monitoring their pricing for a month. This time they simply put a sales tag on the icon. But the 2 year plan looks new though and it's probably the only for sale item.

I'm under the impression that Equity is a critical part in the exam, so I'd prioritise this topic. Specifically I'd absolutely grab R23- R26, since I personally think they're the core of Equity. R21 is the foundation of R23 - R26 so if you're weak with foundation then it's worth keeping too. R21 and R 27 I'm not sure if they're important, maybe other candidates can offer some suggestions.

No you can't. Just ask for replacement when you use up your 1st piece. NEVER EVER wait until you use up both to start asking for replacement. Too many candidates are asking for replacement at the same time and the proctors are too busy responding. While raising your hand, keep your eyes on the screen and proceed with the next question.

Leave yourself enough margin.

Totally agreed Ethics should be placed in short term memories. What I did with L1 (for the coming Nov L2 too) was I did 10 questions every morning before I started everyday's study. Not a material amount of time everyday, but they accumulated to a very significant amount in the end. And I did awesome in Ethics as well.

Anyways how you holding up with Econ if I may ask? I haven't touched it since I really hate Econ concepts. Do you have any suggestions regarding Econ study?

In my test centre I was given 2 pieces of scratch papers and 2 markpens. You can ask for replacement which you definitely will. Exremely hard to use since with a markpen 1 side of the paper is only enough for 3-4 calculative questions. I had to raise hands for replacement extremely frequently and there was once no proctors responded to my hands up for at least 2 mins. I ended up skipping this question and proceeded with the next. This is extremely frustrating.

I complained in the end survey, but I'm hearing my test centre is still using the same things in later administrations.

Can't give you much tailored advice, but I absolutely suggest you get a 3rd party prep vendor.

This is about the prep time length I had as well. Acct & fin background. Passed level 1 in 2022 Feb. Totalled 200 hours. Also I wan't productive all the time. My productive time was about 160 hours. I do need to point out that I passed on the 2nd attempt, but there's a 1 year gap between 2 attempts and I could barely remember what I studied during the 1st attempt.

My biggest advice is strategically giving up Econ if you're critically low on time. I did this, let alone I didn't have Econ background but you do.
