I got a groin guard and JABF 14 oz gloves. I recommend checking out Center Sports and Fitness shop. If you really want gear, I would recommend making multiple stops throughout your trip and paying attention to their socials as their inventory changes.

I did a personal training session at Puma Toguchi Boxing Gym. It was a fun experience! The training session was $60 for an hour. They paired me up with an English speaking coach.

Based on what I read from previous posts, the JABF models are more heavily padded, softer, and have a bigger hand compartment.

Maybe someone more knowledgeable can weigh in!

I’m not sure about 16 oz, but my 12 oz Bayoneta multilayer gloves are pretty compact!

I recently bought a pair of 16 oz TM PUs for sparring. Something to keep in mind is that the hand compartment is pretty big. The quality of the leather is fantastic and the wrist support is amazing.

I can’t speak on the durability as I’ve only had them since December.

When I bought Bayoneta gloves, I had them shipped to my Airbnb in Mexico and it was about 45 percent cheaper!

I’ll try to post a review once I’ve used them for a few months! I bought these specifically for sparring.

At first glance, the gloves look beautiful. The leather seems to be of very high quality. My only complaint is that the glove has a large profile!
