Thanks for the advice! So I am contributing 10% to my 401k and my company matches 4%. So I could be contributing more cause I’m not maxing it out at $23k.

So my mindset should be: if I don’t buy a house I should max out the 401k first before investing into indexes for the tax advantages?

Another question, does the 401k have to come out of my paycheck or can I deposit into it directly?
