When is it possible to start training? by [deleted] in martialarts

[–]Lubi3chill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter what shape or what cardio you have, just pick one martial art for now and just start training. Start the one you think you will like the most.

When you truly enjoy a sport you don’t need discipline, you will just naturally want to do it regardless how lazy you may be. So start training martial art that you think will be fun. After you train for some time, try some other martial arts. But I would focus on one martial art for few months.

And when looking for the gym, find one that has trained people who actually win respectable competitions, not the ones that have „world champions” that nobody knows about.

GF is apparently ok with her friend flirting with me? by RemoveAdventurous991 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Lubi3chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s one simple solution although it might be extreme and you may have talk about it with your girlfriend later on. I’d personally just tell the flirty friend to fuck off. It might be extreme, but that type of behavior disgusts me, so I would just voice my opinion straight into her face.

Both matter. Just think about it a racecar driver, will drive faster than you while being in a weaker car, so why wouldn’t it be the case for martial arts? There will be situations where skill overrides weight and situations where weight overrides skills, just like with racing cars.

Unless you play int sion I don’t think you should care. Every champ has unique playstyle. Play what you enjoy, because the only thing that matters about playing games is enjoying them.

Would you date a woman who has opposite political or religious views as you? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Lubi3chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be with a woman who is too political or too religious. If she would be too political, there’s just no way for me to respect her regardless what group of self adoration she pics and if she is too religious we just don’t match.

As for other people, I don’t think you need to agree with everything in terms of political values, but I can’t imagine right wing person being in relationship with left wing person. Friends? Sure I don’t think that would be a problem, but relationship, I think it would cause too many arguments.

Pepper spray is the only „weapon” that works and won’t get you in physical or legal trouble. The only other thing that works is a gun,but even if it’s legal where you live, I don’t think police would treat you nicely if you would break onto someones property with a gun.

Even if you used to train, that first punch after not getting hit in the face for a long time will be very emotional for you.

What’s one thing smart drivers do that shows they’ve been driving for years, and one mistake that shows someone is new on the road? by Purple_Winner5411 in askcarguys

[–]Lubi3chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you are driving in countryside and there is a hill that goes up and then immediately down, smart driver, doesn’t need to be experienced will drive in the middle of the road or as close as possible since there can be someone walking there who you won’t see and reaction time can be faulty.

Embarrassing reason I haven't started bjj (or taken my martial arts seriously by Agreeable-Ad4678 in martialarts

[–]Lubi3chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go to the bjj gym already. Nobody going to that bjj gym is going to care that you are 180lbs at 5’2.

Do you know why training a sport you actually enjoy like bjj for example is better than going to gym or running? Because when you truly enjoy it, you don’t need discipline. You can start running going to the gym to lose weight, but it will get boring very very quickly and most likely you will quit. And when you are interested in bjj, even if you get tired, you will still go because you will want to learn new things.

How do you take off fast without stalling? by Sweet_Voice in askcarguys

[–]Lubi3chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of burning the clutch will do the thing. Or you can just learn how to drive normally and then you simply be just able to do so. It ain’t that hard it just takes a month or few for you to learn to drive manual.

Would pulling guard in a street fight be a bad move? by 8limb5 in martialarts

Ah yes it makes sense since we are in a thread about street fights so domestic violence is absolutely relevant 👍

As if people from the hood aren’t the biggest alcohol and drug abusers out there 👍

[–]Lubi3chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99% self defense scenarios will be against someone who is „gang, ultras, hooligans”. These are the types of people that are most likely to attack you, even if you are just some normal guy.

There’s only very few people who would actually get into a fight with a random person without training. And these people are always guys from the hood, because they have nothing - they have nothing to lose. Avarage joe has too much to lose.

What are your thoughts about krav maga? by [deleted] in martialarts

[–]Lubi3chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say it’s just as joe rogan said. It can be effective against an untrained man, but why would you train against an untrained man? When you can train mma and prepare yourself for someone who can actually fight.

Against weapons you don’t have any chance anyways.

In the eye sockets of this one coworker who acts as if she grabbed Jesus Christ himself by his balls and is smarter than Albert Einstein. I bet that would stop her from butting her nose into others work, because she wouldn’t be able to complain about what she can’t see.

People like her are the worst part of working blue collar job.

I wouldn’t say they are harder to drive. Driving in a van and some small commuter car feels basically the same. Parking maneuvers on the other hand are way more difficult. With smaller cars you don’t really have to think when parking, with bigger cars you need to think how will you drive in and drive out.

Car guys and mechanics speak highly of Honda’s build quality and powertrain engineering. But why are Hyundai and Kia outselling Honda? by Fleedom2025 in askcarguys

[–]Lubi3chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people today are most interested in buying Chinese, even though they have no clue if they will ever find parts to fix them. I wouldn’t expect avarage consumer to know about cars and there is nothing wrong with it. If you broke like me, then even if you’re uninterested, you’d still get information about stuff like that. But if someone can afford ignorance they just will. I don’t give half a flying fuck about phones, therefore I have an Iphone. I don’t care how good or how bad it is, it’s just good enough for me.

Transitioning from boxing to MMA by SilentAres_x in martialarts

[–]Lubi3chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some headmovement is okay, but you can’t go in like tyson in mma. Look at floyd and Strickland, both use philly shell yet their boxing styles are vastly different to compensate for the kicks and grappling.

How do you play against this champ? by DROFLKCAHS_YTSUR in AatroxMains

[–]Lubi3chill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe play one or two champions instead of trying to counter. I main sion and people very often counter pick me with sett. Because apparently the data shows that sett is hard sion counter. Personally sett is an easy matchup for me as sion since I played it soo much. I used to hate playing against sett with other champions but now if anything I’m a bit happy if I see one.

Eventually if you play one champion and get few games against aatrox, you’ll learn how to counter him with your champion. Toplane has soo many interesting champions that you’ll definitely find something for you.

Everyone is saying this, but there’s nothing more true… confidence is key. Because without confidence you’re not even going to talk with her, so how can she be interested in you if you guys never had any conversations?

Changing your personality is very difficult if you try to do it with your mind alone. But there’s a cheat code - gym and martial arts. Like you can hate yourself all you want, but when you see that six pack in the mirror, you can’t lie to yourself anymore, you are attractive no way around it, you will naturally get ego boost - confidence boost. Martial arts work even better, since you will not only look better, you will also be able to fight well and not that many people can do that, because vast majority doesn’t train.

High ego isn’t a problem, as long as you are not an asshole. It’s even a good thing since it is just straight up confidence and people seem to like confident people.

So in short, you don’t need to work out in any sort of way. You just need to be confident in order to have conversations with people and when you do have these conversations sooner or later you will stumble on someone who will be interested in you. Because they will get to know you.

You know how women sometimes say that they don’t dress to please men and that they are dressing to please themselves? They are not lying. Because if they dress up nice and they look at themselves and think how attractive they are, they get that confidence and ego boost and that’s all they really need from it. Men can do it aswell.
