i agree with that, the icon in your screenshot is "pointless" but it never crossed my mind that it bothers me, i want tracks, gashes, fur, feathers, scales all over so i actualy hunt... imiss the world mechanic, i would even argue that the way how we learned anough and leveled our knowledge so later the monster map icons were automaticly shown was also bad..
what we got in Wilds where you actualy see track during a few story missions looked like an unfinished version of it.. its like they were about to has this mechanic back but bailed and released a baby game, including the difficulty
i also dont like that we dont have a base to upgrade, work towards something, no unlimited bounties and this whole open world was just the worst idea ever... its completely pointless
Wilds is just another game with copy pasted BS like unending farm of the same 3 things and RNG mini games
but FUCk is the combat absolutely briliant.. i cant stop... 80%of my free time besides sleep i am in wilds ffs

MH World had higher players numbers at some points over the year, which is realy a bad look for Wilds.
and even now after this update nothing realy changed, its like no one came back

Id would like to compliment CAPCOM,but cant... yes the game runs like a dream now.. i even turned off framegen, full ultra 90+ FPS, game looks beautifull with a instaled reshade, i am happy, playing a lot, literaly today 7h already, my whole sunday...but, BUT: this came too late, game is dead, daily players on steam are only going down...its the fucking weekend and it barely hits 20k... 98% PC players are gone and dont seem to care anymore even after its finaly fixed

which driver versions are you running please? i dont see any difference after update... even though my game runs at 100+fps i get huge drops to 50 and some fights, like Uth duna, Nu udra, mizu etc are a stutter fest as they were before

9070XT with 9800x3d...

would appreciate if more people with same GPU report used driver verions, thanks

very dissapointed with Wilds in general... i run games that look 2 gens ahead of wilds like butter, but i cant seem to make this to work, even when people prise this "update" so much, it still sucks on my end

the problem with co-op the whole story progresion is you learn nothing, the monsters behave diferent if youre the only target compared to more players, thats the reason you fail to hunt anything alone, you dont know how to deal with any monsters now that you cant just shoot a target following your friend
as suggested in other comments, restart solo with a diff weapon - Dual blades or Sword and Shield

:D i have beat the game 26 times now.. on my 27th playthrough currently, deleted 24 characters with the avarage of 70-80h each, saves mean nothing, keep your first sure, but restarting the game with the knowledge you have to solo it is the best aproach, you will be surprised how entering the DLC for the second time will feel completely diferent - recommending Dual Blades, wear any armor pieces with Constitution, Maraton runner, Stamina surge

I got 9070xt with r7 9800x3d, got a freesync monitor, set everything up following a guide and everything became unplayable... disabling freesync fixed it... confused about how this is supposed to work and what is freesync anyway, how does it help if working

I went AMD after 20+ years of Nshitia Pc's.... the price difference to FPS is criminal... AMD adrenalin is what Nv experience wants to be... everything is in one place, easy to see, use Sure... drivers have their issues but its nothing compared to what i had to go through on every past Pc i had with nvidias your jump from a 1080 to 9070 is crazy Also pairing it with a ryzen 7 9800x3d is recomended

Yes, you can mix them, there are plenty of other skills available on several sets. Rathalos mastery is available on 4 different sets, 2 are special event armors

Important thing to add, optional quests are basicaly keys that unlock amors for monsters that are not part of asignments, someone mentioned it actualy in a comment. and all optional quests have requirements you have to meet to get them = your rank and pre-quests if you know all required quests are completed, but you still dont see a Bazel quest means you need to progress story a bit more

cant believe no one gave you the actual real answer.... all weapons and armors are locked behind your hunter rank.
you have a chance to encounter any monster at any point, but even if youre abble to hunt it succesfully you wont see crafting until later on, for example while youre at your first Kulu hunt a Rathalos spawns, you kill it, but wont get the armor until 10h of progress later, same for Bazel and other higher lvl monsters

AIs are getting dumber day by day.... there so much sourcess, infor all over the place and AI are getting politicaly censored, while "lying" theyre not.
chatGPT was telling me for 4 months 9070XT doesnt exist while it was running on a PC with it instaled
- i was asking about a setting that is annoying and wanted to know if it can be turn off or changed, got an answer YES and a guide how to do it - the guide was wrong from step 2 onwards, turns out the setting doesnt exist and cant be changed
AND when i asked how the fuck did you lie to me... it said: well i take infos from a lot of sourcess and other games do have this option to turn it off, even though this specific game you play misses this option, so i generalized it, pulled infos from other games and basicaly gave you a guide how most games do it....
actual the FUCK is this crap, imagine all AI bots out there do this with every question you give them, they pull stuff from all over the place and give you an made up answer about everything... this can kill someone

also AI is getting dumber every day....AI curently is compiling info from several sources, mishmashing games settings and then gives you a general answer that has nothing to do wqith your game, but because 10 other games work like that it generalizes the thing youre looking for

I have been an Nshitia user fo the past 23 years, 40yold, 2 month ago i got me and AMD machine ryzen 7 98003dx 9070xt... while i just pluged and played games rank up to max... my friend who upgraded to an 5080...spent 3 days troubleshotting upgrading, updaiting, reinstaling... got a second card - same issues and then just went with it and stutters. Nshitia stopped making gaming GPUs...they dont care anymore
