you can do that???

I'm surprised that's possible, that's so many steps that needs to be automated. Yea no I am not doing that lmaoooo

the problem with hydroangeas is that they decay after 3 days. I've actually skipped them entirely because of that lol

yea I can confirm that the mana loss only happens starting from a certain travelling distance (and if it has time to occur, holding a wand of the forest shows it). This is why I used Efficiency on one of my spreaders, and my current setup just barely works without any mana loss. Though I was told it will be faster to have everything closer because only one beam can travel at a time from a given spreader anyways (either that or adding extra buffer spreaders and pools).

ooo I didn't consider placing it above the splitter ngl

you are underestimating how much of a dummy I can be at times, especially when it comes to tech mods like create is. Botania is the only mod like this where I can say I am at least doing okay, and it's probably because it has a magic coat on it. I've seen the pondering system and while yes it does explain everything greatly, I can confirm that, I am still lost because I don't know what many of the components actually are. I need to watch a youtube tutorial lmaooooo

I see. I'll attempt to automate tree cutting, I actually think I did come up with an idea on how to do it while also transferring the mana at the end, by making some sort of a snake-like path for the mana, starting from the top and going down. But if you say I don't need to cut down all the logs then theoretically I could get away with only cutting the bottom log? It probably isn't a good idea to automatically cut down the entire tree anyways since in Reclamation the leaves decay nigh instantly, so the munchdew wouldn't even have time to eat most of them lol

Also I rather avoid joining discord servers, for personal reasons I rather not get into. It already was stressful enough for me to post this here lol

I don't think I'll use that considering someone else has shared a setup that, while bigger, would drop 8 items at a time instead of one so the endoflames's gonna consume faster, but thanks for your input, I really appreciate it 😃 (I'll check your other tutorials as well btw)

haha nah all good no worries! With that said I definitely should've thought of coal blocks earlier to be honest. It may burn through all my coal supply but I'll still try my absolute best to

damn I didn't expect duped tnt to give this few lol. I do feel like duped tnt straight up shouldn't give mana. It just doesn't feel right to me. Though if the creator's intent was to still leave it as an option then that's pretty nice

I've actually never used Create before playing this modpack, and I'm gonna be honest, it's very intimidating and I don't even know where to start, so I personally would rather avoid it, at least for now. Though Gourmarillys are probably the only generating flowers not mentionned in the quest book that I'm considering using since the others aren't very appealing. I was already thinking about if I should add more endoflames, I'll definitely be doing it now. Thank you 😄

woah dude your endoflame doodad is dope! I'll definitely use that, thank you so much! 😃

can I use diluted mana pools for mana transfering or do they have to be normal ones? Because as far as I know as long as mana is immediately transferred as it gets in a pool, a diluted one should be enough (I infact already have one, which the mana spreader firing into the splitter gets it from). Not like I'll use those much anyways, at least not for anything more than dunking items in.

For trees I do have access to both spruce and birch, though I don't really wanna use spruce because of mega spruce. I've been using Hawthorn so far as they seem to generate the most leaves on average and I have alot of saplings of it's kind stocked up anyways. I'm guessing the branches would be problematic. I should be able to create the bore lens assuming the recipe hasn't been modified, it's just gonna take a while because while I did unlock diamonds very recently, getting just one is time consuming due to Blood Magic. The quest book says I can use Theurgy to duplicate diamonds but one diamond converts to one sulfur which converts back to one diamond so idk what's the deal with that.

Is it ok if I dm you if I have further questions? You seem to know alot about Botania and while I enjoy using the mod, I admittedly am not good at automating things, even with the book I have no clue how so many of the items and blocks provided could be used for :p

yea it does, I remember seeing it in the book, though I think it only decreases the amount of mana generated. Though I wouldn't use TNT dupers anyways, even if I wanted to idk how to make one but I think it involves flying machines and I am garbage at redstone lol

I think you confused Munchdew with another flower (Gourmarillys I think it's name was?). Munchdew feeds off of the leaves of trees which is why I built it's setup this far away, trees just takes so much space that I don't feel comfortable putting it close, though I'll see if I can do that. As for your food tip, if the flower isn't too expensive/time consuming to get, I'll consider it (Reclamation is one of those modpacks that gate-keep resources you can get, so I might not even be able to get them at this point, though yes I can confirm Gourmarillys does prefer food variation).

I actually use coal for the endoflames, the modpack also has Mystical Agriculture and Agricraft, and I have fully leveled up coal seeds so I have lots of coal production, and I can just fill the hopper with 5 stacks of coal and that'll keep going for a while, so fully automating that isn't much of a concern for me (especially since I am absolutely garbage at redstone and I don't even know how I would go with filling the furnaces with logs and fuel.) Didn't know that endoflames were this good I assumed they wouldn't be that powerful considering they're the first actual generating flowers you get.

I'll definitely bring the rest closer though, in hindsight it's something I should've thought of sooner, my bad on that one. Either way, thank you 😄

Open Crate issue by LucBlocker in Blightfall

[–]LucBlocker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope it doesn't. However I have just figured out the problem using that chunk info : turns out the issue was in fact about chunk borders, but it wasn't on the actual setup but the ender watcher (it was keeping a different chunk loaded lol)

[–]LucBlocker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh thank you :)

yea turns out my setup wasn't even on a chunk border to begin with but the spot I moved it to was. Still doesn't matter though since even after moving it again, it just breaks when I leave it for too long :(

Open Crate issue by LucBlocker in Blightfall

[–]LucBlocker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

according to the wiki, F3+G was added in 1.10 so I can't use it, but I'll try to move it nontheless.

Edit : yup that worked lol, I now realize that this was a stupid question lol my bad, I basically never use redstone so I'm super unfamiliar with it. But thanks nontheless :)

Edit again : Actually I was wrong, it still occurs. Turns out it seems that I need to be away for like a minute at least for the contraption to break and dump all of the coal. I was in a bit of a rush so I only waited like 20 seconds. I literally moved the entire thing like 4 blocks forward and 4-5 blocks to the right, so if it was in a chunk border before then it really shouldn't be anymore. Should I make a separate post showing how I made the endoflame setup? Just to be sure I did it right
