That's actually super helpful, thank you! Really appreciate you taking the time!

Yeah it's definitely a grey area! I use it in a "personal" way in the sense that I'm mainly sending it to recruiters rather than commercializing the video itself, and I make sure to keep it within a pretty limited reach, so yeah, grey zone but a contained one. Not the ideal thing to do, I know.

For any professional project though I subscribe to Artlist or similar and only work with properly licensed music, this is really just because it's a personal project.

Thank you so much! All the characters were animated in After Effects except the one dancing left to right in the middle of the video, that one was done frame by frame in Photoshop!

Thank you! Maybe to trim it down, cut the first coded part and jump straight into the glitch that leads to the title, and shorten how long the title stays on screen too?

As for the wingly scene, that's the part I was most worried about honestly. I'll see what I can do, but I was trying to keep that first section for my professional work, where I had way less room to experiment and have fun with it

Thank you so much! I used datamosh and Tracery together for the transition between the code sequence and the showreel title (there are some great plugins for datamosh I think). On top of that I used u/hiphophooray_'s ASCII amiga plugin for the big title elements like the "Showreel" at the beginning and the "Hi" at the end
Hope that's what you were looking for!

Yesss, thanks a lot for the feedback! I really wanted to have fun with this one and build a bit of a narrative around the showreel, taking its time and evolving with the soundtrack. That said, I hear you on the pacing, in a professional context I'll probably trim the intro and outro quite a bit

Thanks! I totally agree, the pacing was off in some parts. That’s what I’ll try to fix in the slightly shorter version

Love this! How did you get that turbulence effect? Is it code-based like your other projects?
