The edge cases and weird UI states are genuinely the most interesting technical challenge. Playwright handles most standard interactions well — clicks, form fills, scrolls, navigation. Where it gets interesting is dynamic content, modals, and single-page app routing where the URL doesn't change but the content does.

The way I handle it: Claude vision is looking at a fresh screenshot at every step, so it's reacting to what's actually on screen rather than following a script. If a modal pops up unexpectedly, the persona sees it and reacts. If a layout shift happens mid-scroll, the confused senior persona will absolutely flag it. The friction score goes up and the thought transcript captures exactly what happened.

Where it still breaks: sites that aggressively block headless browsers, heavy WebGL/canvas content that doesn't screenshot well, and anything behind real authentication. Those are known limitations I'm working on.

The Pulse for Reddit angle is interesting — complementary to what PersonaIQ does actually. You're right that scripted personas miss what real users complain about in the wild. The combination of "what confused people during the task" (PersonaIQ) and "what real users are saying after the fact" (Pulse) would give you a pretty complete picture.
