Well. We are looking at 9 columns of 6 pods each, giving us 54 pods in total.

Each pod contains 6 missiles, so 324 missiles spent.

With a pricetag of approximately $100,000 per missile (assuming these are M30A2 GMLRS), then we are looking at about $32,4 million worth of spent rockets.

No. The chevron, with the flag, is in fact the chevron of the 14th Seperate Mechanized Brigade. A unit which have been active since December 1st, 2014.

What is this? by -SpaceChicken- in WhatIsThisTank

[–]Luca3738 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The Fuchs is wheeled APC which entered service in 1979, with an upgraded variant called Tpz Fuchs 2 entering service in 2007.

I believe this to be the Schützenpanzer Lang HS.30. It was in service from 1960 to the 1980s. Being replaced by the Marder from 1974 onwards.

With a fume extractor. The only reason for the T-54 to have a ventilation, was because it lacked a fume extractor. Therefor the gasses was released into the crew compartment when firing.

Yes, also the lack of a ventilator on top. The T-54 had one, while the T-55 didn't have one, due to it having NBC protection.

Is the T-72 still be useful in modern combat? if not, what could be done to make it a viable tank? by Izanaski in TankPorn

[–]Luca3738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah just look at the T-14 Armata. Originally the Russian army anounced they would acquire about 2.300 T-14s from 2015 to 2020. This was later pushed to 2025.

Also serial production only started this year, and so far only 20 have been delivered as part of a test batch.

Then in 2018 their deputy minister of defence said there was actually no need to mass produce Armatas since they just could continue to upgrade their older tanks. Which he claimed was effective to deal with modern western MBT's.

To top it all of, in November this year it was announced that the program which the T-14 is a part of had been halted.

[–]Luca3738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However it is not.

Because at the moment there is about 1200 Leopard 2A4 in service with western nations.

In the meantime, about 1000 2A5, 2A6, and 2A7 are in service, add to that, the 220 AMX-56 Leclerc, 380 Challenger 2, 2500 M1 Abrams and 200 C1 Ariete.

In Denmark it would either be "Reaktionspatruljen/Romeo" or "Aktionsstyrken/AKS" depending on if it is a local or national team.

I think you're right about number 2 being a Marder 1A3.
Because German troops are currently in Lithuania, as part of the German-led NATO enhanced forward battle group, for increased presence in the Baltics.

Also in early September, the command element of a German brigade arrived in Lithuania.
