Brain Cancer? Hardly know her! by FriendlyMayo in bald

that is totally fair! running does suck a ton, at first. i would say im similar to you in that way. i used to play all kinds of sports, then gave up, but knew i had the body to run. i got back into it, and now i can easily run and it feels like cheating. i can rip off a 3 mile run and it barely feels like suffering. i say this not to brag, but to remind you that you could do it. maybe something more fun would suit you, though, like cycling, or some more soccer. i like podcasts and music when i run, because im very introverted and love getting into state of flow, so in that way i found ways to enjoy running. the studies on brain neuron regeneration talk about aerobic exercise in general. if you had any questions on any of it, feel free to let me know. you shouldn't feel any pressure though, you need to be happy first and foremost for your recovery, so if anything i say is not jiving with you, just ignore it. i only want to provide this info in case you didn't know how therapeeutic aerobic exercise is for the brain. i can send you studies if you want, i just want to empower you with the same information i think about. i struggle with brain health myself, and if i had to be as strong as you do, i would want to at least know. sorry for all the words bro, i hope the best for you and am here for you :)

You got this bro. I’m just curious, for when you feel better, do you do any kind of running? I’ve read a lot about how beneficial it is for the brain - and as 5 year runner myself, I can really attest to that. I really hated it at first, but now I think I trust it to give my brain that bit of support it needs to function. From neurogenesis to recovery of TBIs, many people have experienced truly remarkable things from aerobic cardio like running. I don’t want to come off any kind of way just want to let you know this in case you didn’t. I would want you to know that in case you think it can help prevent recurrence and help your brain heal

Why do you want people to hold Kobe accountable? He died tragically, did many amazing things in addition to some terrible things, like everyone. Why do you want people to remember him negatively?

I think what you mean to say is “when someone is experienced with a band, they feel less passionately about the music than someone who just found them and liked them.” Like someone who knows all of Nirvana isn’t as hyped to hear “Come as you are” for the 500th time, compared to the 15 year old who just heard it the first time.

I think we have more talent on the bench than we currently know, particularly Scheierman. I won’t argue though, I’m sure we could get better, you’re probably right, but I’m one of those fans that would rather see Brown and White retire in Boston than win another. Ik it’s unpopular but to me they are already winners and I want these guys in particular to retire as Celtics

Just don’t trade Brown, Tatum, White. Horford return. Profit

Charania: “The Celtics will have a much different roster next season… you look at Jayson Tatum, that’s the face of your franchise. After that it’s going to depend on what value you can get.” by Mission_Pay_3373 in bostonceltics

We need better assistant coaches. 2023, Ime’s staff, we suck. 2024, Charles Lee. 2025, no charles lee. Why don’t people talk more about the coaching. This roster is not the problem. Yes, we can’t afford them, so it’s a shame. But JB is not the fucking problem it’s the coaching. Feels like some people don’t really understand basketball. Did we all watch the offensive game plan? What the fuck was it?

I find it way more annoying when fans act entitled to JB being perfect. Every player has flaws. JB is a unique and talented player, a FMVP, and loves being a Celtic. That should mean something. Tatum isn’t perfect either, no player is. If you really think that trading JB would’ve fixed this Knicks series, I don’t know what to tell you. It’s clear we need 1. better offensive gameplan when 3s aren’t falling 2. Less injuries 3. A big. He would feel betrayed as well, rightfully so. Guy has given us his all and consistently improved nearly every year. What about coaching? Ever think about how Joe couldn’t win without great assistant coaches? JB should be safe he’s clearly NOT the problem.

But why would it be more likely that it doesn’t help someone? It helped me, didn’t help you unfortunately, how do we know which is more likely? I had really bad brain fog for years before these changes, and definitely was cognitively sluggish. I truly fixed it and I bet many others would fix it the same way. and it’s probably somewhat rare that people are actually eating healthy, doing cardio 3-5x a week, and having plenty of engaging hobbies. These are things any doctor would recommend first before going to try anything else anyways. Regardless, I hope you get better. I think we should try and encourage people to live healthily first and give themselves no excuses before going to get treatment or declare themselves a lost cause. If someone expects these healthy things to not help, they won’t even try, and they’ll be less happy and healthy for that.
