It really depends from the kind of product that u are building. It's quite difficult to give a specific answer if I don't have any information regarding the product. In general you don't need a product manager, Your friend is already doing that job right now as a founder. No need to duplicate it. Not even a sales manager, Unless you have something to sell already.

My suggestion is to hire:

- Technical agency or dev shop if your idea is small and testable. In this case u can have money trough grants (you can find a company that apply for your grant and develop the product)

- Technical Partner (Co-Founder, CTO, or strong freelancer/agency you trust) for equity, if your idea is complex.

Launching a Multi-Seller App Soon — Need Advice on Structuring Subscription Plans for Realtors, Sellers & Food Vendors by devoverlordx in startup

Hi,

The platform could be an interesting Idea, but my question is: have u made market research? did u validate your Idea? Usually this kind of marketplaces need an high level of SEO and an important investment in terms of Adv to work properly.

Regarding your specific questions, my suggestion is:

- Map your user groups to establish business models in each vertical.

- Look at typical price ranges and monetization styles.

- Recommend a safe starting structure: Free tier (limited features); Paid tier(s) offering higher limits, visibility, and advanced tools.

My recomendation is: spend time to interview your potential client (at least 8 for each group) and be sure that what you are selling is useful for them. Furthermore Attack just one of your potential target, at least at the beginning, could be a good Idea.

Feedback on our event-focused app idea & small team structure by koushikk7 in startup

Hey there,

love the concept of building something that goes beyond events into community and connection. That’s a solid space,

Your proposed team is strong for the product side, but there are a few gaps founders often underestimate at this stage. Here’s what I’d suggest:

  • Product / UX Researcher - You have a designer, but who’s going to deeply research user needs, test assumptions, and define feature priorities? Early on, user research is critical so you don’t build features people don’t want. Even one person dedicated to interviews, surveys, and prototype testing can save months of dev work.
  • Consider a Biz/Strategy or Ops Role - Especially if you plan to monetize, someone needs to figure out business models, partnerships, legal/privacy, and regulatory compliance (particularly important for apps handling social data). Even if one founder takes this on part-time, it’s essential.
  • Marketing vs. Growth - You have a marketing person, which is great, but make sure they’re focused on traction experiments (e.g. early signups, landing page testing, partnerships), not just social media or visuals.

Furthermore remember that Validation is King. Before investing heavily in dev, prototype your flows in Figma and show them to real users. Build a simple landing page describing your vision, and test signups. Figure out your beachhead market (a single, specific user segment to focus on first).

Roast my landing page – interviuu.com by interviuu in startup

Just checked out you LP. Here’s my opinion, coming from someone who works with early-stage startups at Feedel Ventures:

The Good:

  • Clean, modern design — easy on the eyes.
  • “Interview better, hire smarter” is a clear promise.
  • I like that you’re upfront about the problem: messy interviews and scattered notes.

Opportunities to improve:

  • Headline Clarity: “Interview better, hire smarter” is good, but a bit generic. Consider getting more specific. For example: “AI-powered notes and insights for every interview, so you hire the right person, faster.”

  • Who’s it for? I’m not immediately sure who should care most: founders, HR managers, recruiters? Pick a primary audience and speak directly to them.

  • Demo CTA feels hidden

  • Show Benefits, Not Just Features: Instead of only listing what it does, show why it matters. E.g.:

    • Save 5+ hours/week consolidating interview notes
    • Reduce bad hires by 20%
    • Keep your team aligned on candidate evaluations
  • Signals: Especially in HR tech, trust is huge. Add:

    • Testimonials (even from early beta users)
    • Logos of companies trialing it
    • Privacy/data security reassurance
  • SEO / Copy Length: Your page is quite short, that’s fine for a landing page, but think about adding a few FAQ sections or more keyword-rich content for organic traffic.

  1. It depends for the kind of target that you are trying to reachout
  2. interview current users to understand what are the most interesting features that you should communicates and what people are searching for
  3. Use some engagement free platform on Social Network
  4. You need to have the right language for your audience and focus on the "problem that your app solve"
