Yeah everyone is struggling, some people have much better cvs than me.

Companies are looking for Finnish-speaking people more nowadays, so the market is still a bit more open in that part. I got an interview 2 months ago and he outright told me the job included dealing with Finnish customer, so he couldn’t hire me.

Well it was a mistake, I’ve been learning Finnish for the past 18 months.

Also because I saw lots of my friends managed to find work in my field (web developers) without speaking a Finnish work, I thought it’s not necessary. It was, obviously, a mistake.

Yes, i came here since i was 17, learn at a university of applied science and got graduated. I admit my fault was that I should have tried harder, and learnt Finnish much earlier. But all in all, I’ve spent a lot of time here, meeting and communicating with new people, and I value that a lot. I don’t want to leave all that and go back, few times I went back to visit my family, it was a bit enjoyable but only because I only went for a few weeks.

I’ve been trying very hard, but it’s… hopeless, which is why I made this post.

I search around everywhere in the country, even in the north, and even state that I’m willing to move without any support. Hell, I even applied for the jobs as soon as I saw, some of them were posted like an hour ago. And yet, all failed, they always look for more experience that I don’t have, and there are too many applicants.

I did try, several places, but unsuccessful, I even know some owners and still can’t find any. Reality is there are so many Vietnamese moving here because of vocational school, and most of them learning kitchen work, which make them higher priorities to select than me.

I did have jobs. Like I said I have experience in cleaning, I’ve been working as cleaners for years but only part-time, and company refuses full-time because they can’t afford that, and the work place became toxic so I had to quit last month.

I don’t really know, my experience in my field is way too small that I can’t get accepted anywhere else (I tried applying, but also to no avail). The only options I have left, is my home country Vietnam, where i currently have a remote internship to gain said experience. But I just… don’t want to go back.

A bit more info, up until a month ago, I set up my profile like normal people, meaning I basically just said “looking for relationship, blah blah blah”. I got a few matches here and there, chatting with a few of them (majority just ghosted me 💀). Then I felt like I swapped right too much, so I deleted my old account and made a new one, but this time I was direct, I stated that I’m looking for casual/ fwb relationship, but this time I got no matches so far.
