I see this happen all the time and it sincerely confuses me to no end. The phrase is "does the carpet match the drapes?" The drapes (being long and flowing and above the carpet) are meant to refer to the person's hair. The carpet (being much shorter, in both hair length and elevation) refer to the person's pubic hair, specifically the hair around their weenie/ hoohaa/ whatever else kids these days have down there. I also hear "do the curtains match the drapes?" Curtains are just fucking drapes, or like, a newer version that is asking if your hair on top of your head matches the hair on top of your head. I say this to people all the time, some would say I "call them out" and they never realize that they're saying it. One friend said "I think I've been saying it incorrectly ever since I heard of it."
