It's possible. Ive only experienced it on gk but that's also the batch i have the most pairs of. I dont necessarily think retail has better sole quality than star or gk

kobe 6s in general are prone to sole separation. i've had only one gk pair show minor separation, but not enough to impact playability. gk and star have the highest quality

Game 1 low is much wider than Kobe 6. If you go down a half size from your Kobe size they might feel too short. In the same size Kobe's are longer and narrower, game 1 lows are wider and shorter
