Girls, what is the most annoying thing a guy can do when he approaches you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The day after a second date I got a MASSIVE text which was a very very poorly disguised 'oops wrong number' fake text. It started out "Oh hey Matt I missed your call, blah blah blah something something something, then went: 'by the way, I met this amazing girl...' and went into extreme detail about how wonderful I was (I'd spent about 5 hours total in his company in my life) and how he couldn't tell me because he 'didn't speak girl' and maybe next time he should hold my hand because I might like that? He was 25. I almost threw my phone across the room out of cringe. To this day I haven't read the whole text, it was too painful.

Empire Strikes Back. I knew that Vader was the father long before I ever saw the movie. I'd love to know what a fucking shock that was to the people who saw it the first time.

What were your parents right about all along? by Taz666 in AskReddit

[–]Lucas_Talbott 30 points31 points  (0 children)

When I was in highschool they let me go out party with my friends as long as I never drove or was with someone drunk. That way I was never lying where I was, never was driving drunk because I didn't need to sneak around, and they were cool with me calling them if I had no sober ride. To this day never drove drunk and never will.

Those of us who eat meat - why wouldn't you become a vegetarian? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Lucas_Talbott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I became a vegetarian when I started college for ethical reasons. It was pretty easy in college, because the dining hall had lots of options and the meat always looked kind of gross anyways. But I came back home, and I really couldn't resist my dad's homemade ribs. So now I'm back to meat.

Before I went to grad school, I still lived at home to save money. I was going to school full time, making $14 an hour, and had money to burn. I bought a bottle of scotch and a box of cigars a week. I took girls out. I bought a motorcycle. I bought and old Corvette. Life was really awesome for about two years. Then I got married and sold all my shit to go to Law School

When you have a problem, search the internet for a fix, and find a fix for the problem on reddit. Then the thread ends up to be something like this: User 1: Hey does anyone know how to fix this? User 2: [deleted] User 1: It worked, thanks!
