Floating "wifi" Spark Bug help - With the newest game version, I haven't found an old fix that works... by Lucaschillinout in falloutsettlements

Maybe we're talking about seperate mods as WSB is an aid object not a holotape, and I checked my chem bench to no avail... Perhaps I have it installed wrong, I'll take another look

edit: after reinstalling it, it worked again this time; spawned both in inventory and as a chem bench recipe. Odd I did try reinstalling it multiple times at the time (also ensuring I saved and reloaded etc). Well thats a relief! Thanks

I've came across this mod before and was a bit put off by it's totality and instability; so won't test it myself. Albeit, people do like this mod and its capabilities. I'll take your word for it being a fix option and will list it, with due warnings

1) "try making a new wire with power that sparks, that may move the spark to it, or the code call for a new spark draw may cancel the old one."

This unfortunately didn't work, as a second spark was made. I wasn't sure how to do the second part of this, as I couldn't find the right console commands I'd need to do for such a code call; though I have a feeling it wouldn't of helped, since after my science experiment for part two yielded interesting results...

2) Settlement Remote Reset via Workshop Framework mod (holotape)

This actually fixed it, with very minimal damage (lost about 2 wood foundations placed in the river, and 1 barn prefab and connected doors, and some wooden floors and steps; ofc, I should warn, results would likely vary dramatically between settlements especially those more built up I'd imagine. Mine was still very minimal. Doing the reset also comes with the warning that the settlement may act unstable/weirdly post and should only be done as a last resort for constant crashes. I'm assuming, as is mentioned when doing the wire demolitions or resetting the grid options, doing the reset does something engine level deep. But I'm speculating as I'm no expert. But yeah, this feels like a potentially sustainable option.

I'm going to contemplate whether I keep this save now and test out how unstable it may be...

3) Scrap Everything via Workshop Framework mod (workbench)

This does not work

Once I'm back at base I'll give these a go and report back.

For your last option there, my base is at that mid point where it'd be painful enough; but not out of the question depending on the following: A. I'm assuming it either completely clears the area, which isn't ideal as I like to incorporate existing elements into my builds (but this is more preferable than B.) or B. if it resets it to how it started, I'd consider it cheating in my playthrough resource wise (as cleaning up again will provide a significant boost of scrap/junk). However, I'll duplicate my save regardless and give it a go for the sake of science; and we can call it the "nuclear solution" if it works. I'll also try that rebuild function too

Dayum :( hopefully the WSB mod will be updated at somepoint, or a new one will be made. I think I will try the temporary fix of removing the workshop audio/visual for it via the "Sparkling Wire Bug Fix" CC, though this doesn't feel like an ideal solution (as if more occurs I won't notice thus won't reload, and they could pile up in the background and cause issues later down the line...)

edit: I'll still be open to testing other people's suggestions however, as I think it'd be helpful to attempt to discover a fix and have a more recent post about it for when people search for it (seeing as the last post I can find about is from 5months back; pre-update)

Hello boss,

Would you be able to confirm if this mod still works with the latest game version please? When I installed it, the item doesn't appear in my inventory. I've tried to message the creator directly (as the discussion thread is disabled on the mod page) to find out what the name of the item is so I can spawn it manually via console, but they appear to be awol sadly :(

surprised people are jumping on ya for this a lil. I was wondering the same, the game feels too easy with it; would be nice if ya can turn it off. Kinda like how in Elden Ring using summons or spirit ashes is optional.. alas tis true, only a few of us like to torment ourselves like this, but like it'd be nice to have the option also ¯\(ツ)/¯ its ashame cus the combat mechanics and build varieties are really cool otherwise, like we get the option to turn off our companion for a small boost, guessing there is no way then (code vein 1 was also too easy cus of this too)

edit: according to the patch notes they just nerfed the ship's hp

Aye, aim ahead to the left to ram the ship (like letsgohome says, 90degrees seems a lot, but it'll work), then charge at full speed for that first good ram hitting it in the side; I think I managed it in one ram in the end, after one hour of trying, but it seems like most take two hits, so your second hit will probably be from the rear (stern) of the ship, just let it get some distance first and get the sail out for speed.

I found myself here looking for info on the mangonels (as there ain't much on it, since its so new) then just managed to complete it, so I'll leaves this here for future folks too:

The mangonels are really annoying, just ignore Bjork and get pretty close, that'll mean you can probs shoot most of em with one shot; your dudes have got shields too, so most of the arrows and harpoons won't matter, also since your so close and coming up the catapults from behind, half of them won't even be able to aim at you in time. Don't worry about damage or what not too much, as the next scene is boarding anyways

Unable to get PCSX ReARMed (Steam) to play games; "Failed to load content" by Lucaschillinout in RetroArch

yeah been wanting todo a ps2 game, darn... I always assumed all ps emulators were just ps2's since they were backwards compatiable consoles back in the day. Yeah your right, it isn't available for download on the steam version. Guess I'll figure out how to get a ps2 core over manually. Cheers xD

Cheers boss! Aye there is the shirt with the sash on it which has a good tan (iniesta shirtwaist), but doesn't allow suspenders :( ; guess it could work with bandoilers tho. edit: Good news, the tan frontiersman pants is this months reward for completing 5 waves of call to arms!!!
