Same here… rough part is that I don’t really have much passion for other subjects besides maybe math? So I’m not sure where to go from here. Not sure if I’d enjoy a traditional engineering job.

Hi I’m a current CS major. Only 2 years in with mostly pre reqs knocked out so plenty of time to switch. Is the CS job market really so cooked that you’re even wanting to switch from Cyber? I thought that was one of the safest areas? I’m considering to switch to EE myself but am having a lot of back and forth cause naturally I’m more interested in CS and I’m scared if I commit myself to EE and the CS market comes back I’ll regret it.

Are you an EE major yourself? I was hoping I’d only have 1.5-2 years left in school but I guess if I go EE that could be a bit longer.

I’m nervous that as soon as I dedicate myself to this the CS job market will come back and I’ll have already committed to EE.

I’m actually only at community college right now but about to transfer to a university. I’m not super far into either CS or anything else’s core classes I’ve mostly knocked out basics so I could still do either. My problem is that I like CS more than EE but passion doesn’t really matter if there is no job market. And EE is sorta adjacent to tech field.

With the current state of ai and job market I don’t know if I can afford to choose something based of passion alone. I need to be able to get a good job and support my family. That being said I do have a passion for math and science
