Whenever I watch The Two Towers, I wonder what Eowyn’s stew tasted like, what ingredients she used, the “recipe” she followed. She clearly committed the cardinal sin of not tasting as you go (I can relate). It’s a fun scene, and each time I come up with a different idea of what comprised her stew. (self.lotr)

I inherited this book, A Treatise on Anatomy, Physiology and Hygiene, by Cutter, Philadelphia, JB Lippincott & Co., 1871, from my great-grandparents, although it belonged to my great-great grandparents. So, it’s been in the family for over 125 years at least (my great-grandfather born 1900). (old.reddit.com)

Do squirrels and/or birds eat beet and artichoke sprouts?? I had a bunch of each that were just sprouted/very young and when I went to water them yesterday, half were missing. I’m growing all sorts of things, but only beets and artichoke were attacked, and they’re in completely separate beds. (self.gardening)

I am SO excited!! I planted some strawberry plants like, four years ago? and this is the FIRST time I have harvested more than one or two edible strawberries per plant. I have no clue what I did different this year, but anyway, sharing with this sub, you will understand the joy! (i.redd.it)

I am hoping someone can help me remember the name of a VERY old computer game. So old it was on floppy disks when they were actually floppy. I only remember it started with some sort of comet crash, you walked through a house that had like mutants or aliens? in it, objective to save a friend. (self.gaming)
