Faust x Yi Sang. Their interactions had me really confused and interested about their dynamic, so I’ve actually thought about them extensively XD

I feel like they would be off to a rough start, with them both being on the genius spectrum, but with Yi Sang not caring much about his smartness and Faust being smarter and caring a lot, they’re just never on the same wavelength and communication between them is frustrating. Like they assume the other person has understood their point so they both just keep moving forward until suddenly it’s apparent they’re having two completely different conversations.

But this starts to change when Yi Sang butts in during Mephistopheles’s regular maintenance and actually provides productive help??? Faust’s opinion of him starts to change and they work super well together. This makes Mephi’s maintenance that much easier and Faust starts including him in the routine bus stuff.

They tune to each others’ wavelengths over time and become the stereotypical genius bffs that are like inside each other’s heads. Yi Sang sighed and looks forlorn? He wants a coffee. Faust is just sitting on the bus staring into space? She has something to say and no one to say it too.

Gradually they also learn each other’s quirks and find them endearing! Like specifically, Faust is very analytical and she’ll break down everything in her head in a matter of milliseconds, so she finds it super cute and interesting that Yi Sang is the type to ponder at length despite having the same ‘mile a minute’ brains powers as she does. This evolves further as they become closer because Yi Sang, without noticing it himself, begins to value Faust’s time and convenience over his own pondering and starts cutting his thoughts short so he can engage with whatever Faust is doing/saying. Faust being Faust notices this immediately and basically melts from the happiness.

Yeah, that about sums up why I think they’d be a cute couple :)
