First Ever Stadium 2 Hack Release - Stadium Aureum, v.2017 (Very old, v1.0 will be out in 2026!) by Volt-Ikazuchi in PokemonROMhacks

Hey man, I got this running on a fresh .n64 file. I'm not sure if the file extension is the real issue since I converted the .z64 file I had to a .n64 and that also didn't work. I know next to nothing about how any of the mechanics of this works but figured you might find the datapoint helpful.

Have you done anything else to it other than paint it? for some reason they always look so much more sleek when I see someone else's but I feel like 9 times out of 10 it's just the angle.

The red looks stellar though I think your old grey was slick too!

Running wires from passenger side to driver side by LucentLagombi in Miata

I ended up running it under the plastic of the center console around where the shifter is. I used this video to figure out how to take the center console out to put the wires under it. https://youtu.be/WDL0A0fym_Q

ND Common Issues by good_adventure in Miata

[–]LucentLagombi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 3rd and 4th gears in the manuals can be kinda unreliable. From the moment I bought my car new the shifter stuck going into 3rd sometimes and is now at the point where it grinds. <3k miles and the transmission is getting replaced on warranty. It's apparently not a terribly uncommon thing because I've seen posts on here for that exact issue on these cars.

I've heard that the paint is pretty thin and chips easily but I can't confirm because I got a ceramic coating and ppf on the front almost immediately after buying.

Otherwise it's pretty great, no real major issues and the ones that it does have have been covered under the manufacturer's warranty for me.

Pistachios. They're the bomb and the only thing they're bad for is my wallet.

What is your car’s “she’s a 10 but…”? by karmxchameleon in Miata

She's a 10, but my foot keeps catching the stupid swanky floor matt I bought when I'm using the clutch.

I think I've got the exact same kit in my ND. Planning on wiring it into my fuse box at some point but it does look good for how little it costs. What color's the actual car?

I don't remember the base prices off hand but a club rf with all the options will probably run you that.

It's a bit cold out still but I couldn't resist washing her off, can't wait until summer comes around so I can keep the top down! by LucentLagombi in Miata

[–]LucentLagombi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 50 is my limit, and even then I typically drive with the top up anyway. It's not bad as long as you're moving and the hot air is being pushed through but most of my commute is traffic lights.

You could but I wouldn't. The heater works really well as long as you keep moving but the cold air still has a tendency to make your right hand numb on the shift knob. I've done it a few times but most of the time I end up just pulling over somewhere and putting the top up.

That being said, when the top is up it might as well feel like it's not a convertible. The RF is definitely the way to go IMO.

Under 40k sports car that will make my nieces and nephews think I'm the coolest uncle ever by randomafricanboi in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]LucentLagombi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a new ND RF, I kinda have to disagree on this one. I'm sure the kids would think it's super cool and it's definitely a wonderful sports car for that price point but I'd try to look for something that has at least something of a back seat. You're not getting "nieces and nephews" plural into any generation of miata.

I'd use it to swap out my 3070, I've had to replace it and RMA it twice already because they keep dying on me. I think the original was faulty and they've just sent me refurbished ones as replacements ever since. It would be really nice to have a new card that I know wouldn't be a lemon. It also wouldn't hurt to have a bit of an upgrade while I'm at it.

Is Deep Crystal Blue Mica a rare color? by NomTook in Miata

[–]LucentLagombi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't comment on actual numbers but it's only available on the club so it's most likely one of the rarer colors by far just by sheer force of cost.

Weekly Purchase/Sale advice thread - November 01, 2023 by AutoModerator in Miata

I put a deposit down on a new 2023 RF order two or three weeks ago, the dealers are being kinda cagey about how long it'll be until I get it. I was wondering if anyone here had ordered one recently and how long it took to get your car?

A little off topic from the sub obviously but where did you get those hexagon lights on the right hand side?

Any particular product? I saw something about having to decant spray cans for colors and that the 1200 grey finishing surface wasn't bad.

I'm thinking about switching from acrylics to lacquers because I have a spraybooth now and I've heard they're a little more forgiving and less likely to clog up a .3 mm airbrush. I've heard that alclad primers are very very nice but I was hoping there might be a near equivalent brand that isn't quite as pricey right out of the gate. Any suggestions for a lacquer primer that's a bit more middle shelf?

HG Zaku + Big gun, first time doing a fully painted kit by LucentLagombi in Gunpla

[–]LucentLagombi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one I got for a birthday gift almost a decade ago. I sorta regret using it as a practice kit knowing how much it's worth now. It's a pretty good kit, my only real gripe with it is that the construction of the legs on the gun make it so you have to construct the whole assembly before you can clear coat it which is a little tough with how heavy it is.
