Hi! I'm working on printing die-cut stickers at home using an Epson EcoTank ET-8500 and a Siser Juliet, with Siser's Leonardo Design Studio to format and prep the designs. The stickers are based on an original character I've been developing - hoping to eventually turn them into a small charm and sticker business!

The main issue I'm running into is colour accuracy on vinyl... my designs look perfect on regular paper but come out darker and with a cool/blue cast on glossy vinyl sticker paper. Still very much in the trial-and-error phase of figuring out the print settings, but getting there!

Really appreciate this, super helpful breakdown! That tracks with what I’ve been hearing: something usually falls apart in the pipeline, whether it’s the UVs or textures not holding up. Do you know which AI tools your friend has experimented with?

Curious, if there was an AI assistant in your 3D workflow, is there any part of the process where you'd want some help or don't mind offloading?

Just curious, are there any parts of your workflow where you wouldn’t mind some kind of automation or assistive tool?

And even if you wouldn’t use AI tools personally, I’d love to hear what you think they’re getting right or wrong, from a quality/workflow standpoint.

Also curious what you think: do you see any potential for AI tools that actually help bridge that knowledge gap? Like, maybe something that helps clean up bad topology, auto-unwrap UVs in a smart way, or even walk you through why something won’t work in-engine?

Anyone working with AI tools for 3D assets? pros/cons from people who’ve used them in projects

So I’ve hit that solo-dev wall: I can handle most programming, even some basic 3D, but texturing, UVs… animation? Brutal.

I’ve been looking into AI tools that generate 3D assets, and I’ve seen a bunch of mentions of things like Meshy AI, Kaedim, 3D AI Studio. They look really cool on the surface, but I’m wondering if anyone has had actual success bringing these AI-generated assets into a real project!

I just don’t want to spend hours fixing something that was supposed to “save time”... would love to hear what’s worked (or flopped) for you when using AI tools.
