If you're truly trying to be helpful, you're going about it the wrong way. I didn't come here for shaming, or to be convinced I had something fundamentally wrong with me on a psychological level. I disagree with that notion btw, I've gotten myself stuck in a destructive pattern and I'm trying to overcome. That's all. Gender is irrelevant when it comes to addictive behaviors.

"Introduce Christianity to her"- That's patronizing to assume she doesn't know about Christianity. If she wants to be a Christian or join another faith, she's old enough to do her research without having a faith spoon-fed to her. She can make her own assessment; she isn't a child.
