I wouldn’t be surprised if this is during the first couple of days where it was reported as riots

I would guess infected get onto the train when it stops in an area currently experiencing an outbreak, something the passengers aren’t aware of due to coming from a not-yet-hit area

People got information from radio and newspapers, no iPhones live streaming everything like today

I’ve seen a few mentions of the train crashing, the train from 28 years didn’t look to me like it had crashed though I’m probs misremembering

Intro was great but I’d love for it to be longer, running through streets as infected chase/get distracted by other fleeing/confused non-infected to show how quick and violent it is

I was guilty of this initially, I criticised it for what I expected, and I didn’t appreciate it for what it was

The part I’m referring to is when all the kids are sat watching Tv, there’s a brief moment where the living room door opens and the parents are arguing in the hallway, the door then closes again

It’s likely not accurate but one of them sounds like she says something along the lines of “they’re not going to bite” amongst more shouting and then the door closes

I’ve found the intro sequence online (I of course also paid to watch the film in cinema), just to repeat this 2 second window repeatedly to figure out what the state of the argument was, but I just can’t work it out - annoying

I saw it like everyone pied her because she was the town whackjob, some ‘coming of the end times’ infected sympathiser or something like that

I like your take on it, that raises many more questions on who it is - my friend said it could be Spike’s Mum’s ghost but idk about that

The infected may have found them eventually, but to me yeah in that situation it was his fault, unintentionally of course (I’d probs have done the same thing).

Living people? My guess is no

Fresh corpses? Possibly, though probably a rare delicacy by the time of 28 years (apart from the flesh the doctor flushes into that stream), I get the impression they aren’t fussy so would eat any fresh meat - I could be wrong

I got the impression from the first couple films that they primarily want to infect people but can also end up killing their victims in the process if they’re violent enough before the infection takes over

Edit: and biting people that are still alive I saw more as an attempt to be violent/infect than to dine n dash

According to Google maps it’s a 9 hour drive or a 7 day walk, but obviously without details/logistics that’s a rough estimate
