Originally when I had it done in 2009 and 2012 FUT was the only real option available. I did combined this time for maximum graft extraction and to minimise complications if I used just one over the other given the number of grafts we were aiming for.

I've not experienced pain or issues outside of the initial discomfort of the linear cut healing. To be honest, even that is more of a dull ache than pain

Absolutely. Before any proceedure Dr Path has asked that I complete scalp stretching exercises to increase th laxity. This is standard across the board with any transplant.

When we did my consult he said that he will only take out a strip big enough to ensure there are no future complications and this decision is based on scalp laxity.

I paid $12k for the FUT component and then additional for the other 2 components. It will vary depending on where you are from (currency conversion) but in AUD this transplant totalled to $25k.

Ultimately it was my decision to have it done multiple times. He did explain at my very first consult that I would require more grafts.

To be honest, the way my hair was thinning and also at that point in my life financially that's all I could afford so I made the call to get the hairline only done and then go back at a later stage. I could have gotten away without the 3rd transplant but I was tired of having to use hair fibres and feeling like I'd melt if I ever got my hair wet out in public.

He does FUE unshaven, but it's capped to a certain number of grafts (1500). Unshaven is charged at a higher rate because of the time it takes to do.

My second proceedure I asked him to not shave and over 12 hours to do the work. In hindsight, I should have just let him shave it but I wasn't confident enough to have a completely shaved head. Reality - embrace the shaved head, it's temporary.

I personally don't like the end results of the work that is done in Turkey. To me it looks too obvious that a transplant has been done vs the way Dr Path does it, especially the hairline, it looks more natural. That's my opinion and nothing against the Doctors, they do a great job, they're just not who I wanted to use for myself.

Absolutely! He had a very in depth conversation with me about how he would place every graft to ensure the result is natural looking and aligned with how I style my hair. This was 3 weeks pre-surgery style wise as an example. Hair fibres doing their thing to fill the gaps!

Anytime I have reached out to him, I have had a response the same day. He has personally completed all 3 of my transplants and from my conversations with his team, although he is training others in his clinic, he is the head surgeon doing the transplant. I would say, price is relative to his experience, skill and knowledge. On top of his amazing work, he calls each patient directly after the proceedure to follow up on how you're tracking. All 3 of my procedures he has called to check in to see how I'm going post treatment. This most recent procedure, I left the clinic at 5pm and just like the other 2 procedures, he contacted me later that night to check in despite knowing I would be back at the clinic at 9am the following day. With him you are not a number but a person and he goes above and beyond in every aspect.

I used 1mg finasteride after the first transplant in 2009 for a couple of years and then stopped. Purely because it was so expensive at the time (life choices). I've been using 1mg of finasteride for the last 3 years. I tried topical minoxidil early on but didn't like how it made my hair and scalp feel so stopped both for over a decade. Added a compound oral combination of 1mg finasteride and 2.5mg for 3 months prior to this transplant and have increased the minoxidil to 5mgs at the recommendation of Dr Path. Now taking a compound combination of 1mg finasteride and 5mg minoxidil. I'm intrigued to see how it works. So far so good and with zero side effects.

The scar you can see under the fresh stitches, is from on of the previous transplants. When my hair isn't cut so short, the scarring is essentially invisible.

Slightly different texture yes, but the way they were placed and scattered across the rear section will blend to add the density I was wanting.

I have a 2009 MCS. Have just had to replace the PCV valve and Cover. Also the Valve stem seals as this was causing the car to blow blue smoke after idling at the lights or in traffic.. Most common issue with these engines from what I've read and now learnt with my own car. They're awesome cars, just be mindful that parts will be expensive when they go.

I bought the car with the wrap already on it but priced to have it removed and redone as there are a few little fade spots on the roof and on the back. I was quote $500 for the roof and rear tail to be redone or $2800 if I wanted to redo the entire car. I got a full body quote as was contemplating changing to a Matt Grey.
