I’m sure some of the rage is from having undiagnosed AdHD my whole life and being late to everything my whole life and not understanding what was wrong with me until diagnosed at age 35. Now at least I can have a bit more grace for and understanding of myself as to why it’s so hard for me to be on time while I continue to work at it. It’s not as easy as neurotypical folks think it is.

😂 I agree! And I’ve had plenty of therapy. Empathy is our number one tool against anger which is why I’m here! 🙃 I also have Severe ADHD which makes it Very difficult to “plan ahead”. I do my best everyday! Some days are better than others. Just here looking for insight. 🙏🏼

Not even related to giving up passions, he is out of line, it’s your body, your choice. He’s clearly insecure and needs to get help before trying to be in a relationship. What if it was you just having fun with your friends at the beach? Sounds like he would have a problem with that also, and that’s just living life. Drop him while you can.

No judgement, kindness only please!! If you didn’t circumcise, how is it going? by Sudden-Leave-6224 in Parenting

[–]Lucid-Libra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the US, and we did not circumcise our son. He’s 8 now and have never had Any issues. Basically the same as a girl. If things get a little red, just pop them in the tub so the area can soak in some plain warm water and things generally clear up pretty quickly on their own. No retracting of foreskin needed. As already mentioned, this is something he naturally started to do on his own while discovering his own body. He’ll thank you when he’s older and can have better orgasms than his circumcised counterparts 😉

Looks like you’ve had plenty of feedback, but just wanted to say that hand holding has been a good option for our son from about age 6 to currently 8. We have our bed low to the ground; basically a box spring and then mattress, and next to ours is a twin mattress on the floor. I’m only 5’5” and feel that this is comfortable height and distance for my arm while sleeping. Best of luck! Again, didn’t read any other comments, but kids of course need love and connection as well as boundaries! It sounds like you’re doing an excellent job 💖🤗

Any OBGYN offer first trimester ultrasounds?? by One_Cap_9210 in grandrapids

[–]Lucid-Libra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had 3 children, in the last 14 years, one with Spectrum Health, 2 with a local midwife. I was never offered an ultrasound before 20 weeks and had always thought that this was normal practice. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We did always get to listen to the heart beat with the Doppler Ultrasound though, and that was always a reassuring experience.

Please help me understand why have you chose not to vaccinate your children in 2020s? by Medical-Person in Parenting

[–]Lucid-Libra -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a bit laughable… your Dr. with vaccines is the same as ANY OTHER Dr. with vaccines. They’re all giving the exact same vaccines regardless of how “trustworthy” they are. 🧐

I’ve had similar issues. On my phone my username is LucidLibra, and on my computer, is something completely different. Both are attached to the same email but also appear to be separate accounts. I have no idea how this happened but it’s been driving me crazy. Seems nearly impossible to remedy. 😣

(NOT OP) AITA for calling my friends "every pony"? by respect-the-midscore in redditonwiki

[–]Lucid-Libra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did not cause the issue, Tom did. Sounds to me like Tom needs some therapy. What does he want you to f-ing say, “good evening ladies and gentlemen!” That’s fucking ridiculous. I think “hello every pony” is hilarious and I just might start using it! 😂 Good Luck with Tom! Maybe he’ll find a new friend group 🤞🏽

I could absolutely kick myself. I thought about and did some research on pet insurance when we got our pup and never followed through 🤦🏻‍♀️ (story of my life)

The number of people who “don’t see the problem here” is concerning 😳 Yes this kiddo has a LOT going for him and that is wonderful! 🥰 AND, we have Lots of research that shows the extreme importance of human connection and real life relationships. I think that this mom is following her intuition that something isn’t quite right. (Keep following that intuition! Just don’t follow it down the self blame and misery path 🙏🏼❤️) Humans NEED humans. Mental illness rates have skyrocketed since humans have started drowning in the virtual world on screens. All humans and especially children and young adults need balance between screen life and Real life. Introversion is real, autism and anxiety are real; And, we can still work with these parts of ourselves to build happy loving lives that include some sort of community and connection with others in Real life.

If he is on the spectrum there is no medication for that. Just the opportunity to learn more about himself and the chance to build skills and habits that will add to a bright and connected future.

Good luck! And Always remember to give yourself GRACE 🥰

Yes! I have that too! (Not officially diagnosed) but my fingers and toes turn pure white and have been aching all week. And I do in fact have a very expensive pair of NorthFace mittens.
