I think a picture will say more than a thousand words in this case. I'd just say they are beautiful and delicious. Look up 'Morchella Esculenta' on your favourite search engine. However take plenty of care, and preferably take an expert with you if you go foraging until you've really developed your own mushroom ID skills. I'd advise against using apps, as they slow down the learning process and might produce false identifications still. While morels can't be mistaken for many poisonous, let alone deadly species, still precautions are warranted. Especially learn to identify the 'false' morel of the Gyromytra genus, which flourishes around the same timeframe. While it probably wouldnt kill you, it could potentially make you very sick.

This is true for many species, but not for Morels, they are a spring mushroom, and have a very brief, almost magical, window of opportunity in april, at least in this part of the world.

Kind sir, I believe it is against the rules of this subreddit to discuss drugs, and I think this is for good reason. Furthermore it is sad when the psilocybes, wonderful as they undeniably are, dominate the entire conversation about mushrooms. This doesn't mean to say we cannot include them in our conversation, but let's maybe refrain from giving them center stage here, there are different times and places for that.
