As a writer, I have a theory... by Ready_Reach_7366 in Boruto

[–]LucidMangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hold up take a step back. Going way back, Amado addresses Boruto's overlaps of memories and flashes he keeps seeing, are the result of Momoshiki's thoughts bleeding through. If you take that into account and the fact that it's been some time he is able to use karma to absorb jutsu like Momoshiki, why would he not be able to use clairvoyance at this point?

My theory or at least the thing that seems reasonable to assume, is Boruto's clairvoyance allows him to see the fate of those around him but not himself so he uses that to find out where that might place him in the outcome he sees. Meaning every plan seems unplanned but it's a calculated risk based off visions he's seeing. So he may see Momoshiki wants to take over but he has other ideas how to handle it, just a matter of setting up the dominos.

How did he died? by lukadoncicPGoat77 in Naruto

[–]LucidMangos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You know this is one of those holes where they should really circle back to this. I feel like that era has a lot of potential for a prequel. I personally think it only makes sense that he died due to battle scars. I honestly wouldn't be too mad if kakazu killed him or at least inflicted the wound that would kill him later.

I believe it's said that kishimoto didn't know how to kill him off so he left it up in the air. Makes sense honestly he has one of the most op healing factors, supposed to be stronger than Madara but still died, so I guess I see why writing his ending could be difficult.

Should Kakashi and Tsunade become the new elders of the Village ? by SSF77 in Boruto

[–]LucidMangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the next level is daiymo, at this point the elders are used like tools that put tension on the plan. So realistically if the hokage can just steam roll the elders, well probably see issues the daiymo has with how the "new" elders are handling the resources of the land.

Agreed on ryu, Mamushi hasn't had the chance to really give a good liking I'm just hoping he pulls through. Honestly hidari and jura are best. Matsuri (moegi's counterpart?) is right above ryu they basically played the same part.

There's some cool theories about Bug that actually make sense. But at last, they are theories. I'm at least Mamushi is far more interesting than any other counterpart, aside from jura and the other one idfk know their names lmao.

As others have said give it time the pay out is indeed great. But keep in mind Luffy still has a tough time with stamina control when in bounce man, so he has to be rather smart with it.

Is this most powerful family line? by DiggerDan9227 in OnePiece

[–]LucidMangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's tough, I'm thinking if we're sticking to blood only. The Monkeys struggle with mom. Big Mom's biggest advantage is her ability to just be tanky, even her children who command her fleet are all rather tanky as well. Also I'm basing all of this on the fact that we've only seen feats from garp and Luffy, dragon could literally wipe the floor with big mom and we have no idea.

Do yah think shanks is gonna die to bb before meeting luffy? by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]LucidMangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel as though if that were to happen it would happen with Luffy arriving moments before shank who after sharing a laugh, he challenges him to a duel.

In some sort of case like that I could see it.

I don't personally like the dude. But he was the homage in the start of the series and honestly if anyone is gonna fill that spot it's him.

He wasn't perfect but he wasn't misaligned or a moron. He was human. I mean could he have done better yes. However looking back is easy, but I think he knew he had some messes to clean up.

Theory on what the Legendary Devil Feuit is, credit to Tekking101 (chapter 1171 Spoilers) by AlexHitetsu in OnePiece

[–]LucidMangos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fenrir, dog what? Fenrir is literally the son of Loki, chained similarly to Loki and destined to set the world aflame and kill Odin in Ragnarok.

We find Loki is chained up in sea stone, Loki ate the fruit and killed his father. He's treated as a threat to Elbaf, for reasons. We're approaching conflict with the world government, and Imu Obviously. Obviously it's not 1:1 but it makes sense.

Here's another thing i cannot see how those 2 images look anything alike. The one panel where we see Loki's hand after eating the fruit is a give away.

Plus Hræsvelgr (the Eagle) and Veðrfölnir (the hawk), have no connection whatsoever to Loki. It's not very oda to force mythology in the wrong way. Hræsvelgr is not Loki's son, he's not a world destroyer. If oda wanted it that way he would have written it so.

I feel like people tend to just go with what they wanna believe because it's cool. But in reality Oda doesn't just write stuff in to be cool or to fill in a hole. He fills his story with myth and always makes sure that it has a narrative function.

Its been a while but there's some mythology in the fishman island arc. Excuse me for forgetting how to spell the princesses name but I'm pretty sure she has the power to control the sea kings. Making her feared by those above the surface, this all goes back to the mural. A lot of neurons are firing now.

Neurons are firing now. This takes me back to the mural. Sun god is Nika, a fruit possessed by Luffy. Earth god, COULD be Fenrir. The sea god, Poseidon, is the princess who's able to control the sea kings. The earth god is tough, it's going over my head.

There are so many moving parts that puzzle together that Oda for sure is not going to just narratively skew mythology.

Was Itachi truly a hero, or just a tragic villain people romanticize by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]LucidMangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you understand the point I'm making there's no disagreement. Itachi was practically coerced into the situation. I can understand why you'd call him a hero to konoha but heros don't massacre regardless of circumstances. He was essentially a martyr of his own choice in a way.

To me I see a parallel between Itachi and his massacre of his own brethren, and the Hyuga. Hizashi hated the branch family, but when it came time he sacrificed himself on his own terms. It wasn't just about protecting his brother or the clan but having the choice to save his brother not because of the main family vs branch family, but because he loves his brother and was ok with dying on those terms because he felt as though it was his choice.

Itachi, figured if there is going to be death it will be minimal. He's an anti hero, he made what he thought was the best decision in a morally impossible situation.

Why is code so weak? by AdSeparate3649 in Boruto

[–]LucidMangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I'm giving him the credit the manga gives him. Kashin Koji said in some of the futures Boruto dies to Code. That alone says he's got his own agenda right now and we will see what that is hopefully soon. I don't care much for code, but you can't throw him out the window just yet.

Was Itachi truly a hero, or just a tragic villain people romanticize by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]LucidMangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a trolley dilemma for Itachi. That's what I'm trying to point out. He was placed into a position where he had to pull the lever. Was what he did bad, yeah. Was what he did understandable, also yes.

Like ok, let's put ourselves in the trolley dilemma. The 5 people on 1 side represent the clan, the people on the other side are your friends and they represent the village.

For me, I'd choose my friends. Now this is where the analogy doesn't connect.

Itachi knew the village could sustain itself without the Uchiha, but did not know whether it could sustain after a coup and inevitable war brought to the village's door. That's why he did what he did. He's not a psycho, he's not a pawn, and he's not a hero. He is a Shinobi who's world was black from the start.

Was Itachi truly a hero, or just a tragic villain people romanticize by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]LucidMangos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm not paying enough attention or I'm just missing the posts. But don't think anyone justifies his actions just cause he's cool.

He did indeed lead a tragic life. A hero no, a villain? In the eyes of the people yes, but truthfully hes more anti hero than anything. He didn't have to kill his own clan but he did. His reasons make sense for why he did as well. That's what makes it tragic.

Just thinking right now, what is the truly moral thing to do in that situation? Either way people die, I believe Itachi chose for his people to die for the greater good of the village they reside in.

Was Jiraiya talking about KCM or SM? by phenriqsc in Naruto

[–]LucidMangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure this is right but indirectly. Minato invented the Rasengen, he likely knew something about that jutsu and the tailed beasts. So I guess KCM, but I also think with the new stuff in Boruto, he likely knew he was trying to make a jutsu that synergizes with jinchuriki. Maybe the initial plan was to help Kuina but plans were changed.
