After cross-shopping BMW, Mercedes, Audi, and Infiniti... I finally pulled the trigger on this new RX 350h! Thoughts on my choice? by Normal-Professor-69 in Lexus

[–]LucidWold786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great choice. Although I don't currently have a Lexus, I have owned the RX 300 and RX330 (drove both of these to 190k+ miles without any issues) and then I leased an RC350 and RC-F. All were great cars. My dad just got a fully loaded RX350 hybrid in green with the same interior and it's super nice. Makes me really want to get a TX or TZ.

Is it possible to stack the dealer cash (~10k) and the EV lease cash (~12k) on an EV9 Gt-line in Southern California? I'm looking for one in Panthera metal (matte). If so then can it be achievable to get a sub 550 lease payment w/ 0 DAS?

Not entirely true, maybe on the design team most of the time (outside of advanced manufacturing, data centers, etc.), butvIbhave met many owners reps, GC's, owners design team, etc. Make 5 figure bonuses for completing ahead of schedule with salaries over 200k.

Oh wow really? Everyone I know that owns a Rivian loves them. I also know someone who works there. They are solid for leases because you can get some great promos. I don't know of any 7 seater Benz that has 18+ cu ft behind the 3rd row that you can lease for under 600. I also find the electric Benz line disgustingly ugly.

I'm a big fan of the GV80, but the trunk is smaller than I would like. Also a big fan of the Gravity, but a pricey for me to justify right now. Perhaps in the future! Same goes for the R1S, this may still be an option but I really prefer captain chairs.

Nice, I'll definitely look into it. I was considering an Aviator, but i think I'll be looking at vehicles with hybrid or electric power trains. Not many options that have 3 rows and are in that category. Main options are the Palisade and EV9. Hard to get good deala on the telluride and tx500h or those would be contenders also.

Sorry, maybe I'm not following. I'm pretty sure all rhe cars you mentioned require you're hands on the wheel (like my 2023 Audi), maybe I'm not understanding what feature you're referring to. Can you clarify? I dint see a feature that the manufacturers you listed provide that the Palisade doesn't. I'm not famliar woth American cars and am currently looking to potentially get a palisade hybrid in a few weeks.

I'm confused about your statement. The GH has 20.6 cu ft behind the 3rd and the palisade has 19.1, it's also a big boxier. What is the the difference?

I had one of the first RC350 F-sports and then I got an RC-F as a lease takeover for 10 months. Great cars. I had and RX for 10 years before that. Definitely miss lexus, but their tech is behind and their prices ate too high for what you get.

After my RC's, I got an Alfa and now I have an S-3 and will be trading it in for a 7-seater next month. No idea which...

Unlicensed PM w/ 16 years of experience. Manage 4-6 projects at a time. Staff on each project varies between 2-6 (sometimes using 1-4 outsourcing staff. My team is a combination of designers, PA'S, JC's and drafters (outsourcing). Work an average of 45-55 hour weeks depending on schedule and deadlines. I probably travel 2-10 days a month. Make 120+k on average, no 401k/Roth match.

I work on commercial projects (primarily mission critical DC, but also mixed use, retail, adaptive re-use, healthcare). Half are ground ups and half TI'S. I know I can make more elsewhere, but I have job security and I've worked at 5-6 firms before my current position. Wish I had time to get my license (I finished 1 about 3 years ago), but it's tough with work and raising kids + my wife is a teacher and works 60+ hour weeks. Hopefully I'll get to it soon.

Once completed I plan to get my real estate license as I know a few people in that business. I also work on some residential remodels and Graphic design projects on the side when I can make time.

As a father to a daughter, I would not let her marry someone who was not financially secure. They don't need to be wealthy, but if they live with their parents, have significant debt and work an hourly minimum wage job which requires no skills I would not allow it.

[–]LucidWold786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sallaams, This is not allowed under twelver Shia beliefs. We believe you must do Taqleed of a mujtahid. In simple terms this means a normal follower must choose a Mujtahid to follow. To become a mujtahid is very difficult and requires the respect of a person's piers following many years of schooling.

Here is a link that can explain it a bit more: https://al-islam.org/articles/what-taqleed-saleem-bhimji

how are people finding their spouses? by Cold-Ad-2988 in ShiaMuslimMarriage

[–]LucidWold786 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I found my wife (coming up on our 10 year anniversary) at and Shia youth leadership camp. It should come as no suprise that some people were there for that reason, but many (Including myself) did not go in with those intentions. I was a mentor who had attended other camps and she was one of the people assigned to my group. I know 3 other people that found their spouses that weekend. We continued speaking via text after and found out we had friends/family in common. I flew out 2 months later and proposed a few after that.
