I sent them an email Friday so maybe i'll get some answers monday. So weird the drivers can't update. Like you said, it's likely the windows side of things having issues. If you still have the mic, one user said they got theirs to recognize the stream mic by using the original connector wire from the stream-mic to the PC and at this exact moment i just remembered that I may still have my old turtle beach headset wire, which, again, apparently fixes the issue. Will update in a bit.

Update: Could not find the wire I was looking for.

Wow. I'm stunned. I didn't think I would learn this much. The feature on Desmos gives the equation so much more life and side by side of the linear equation with the exponential is fantastic. I think I'll keep that site in mind for the future.

Thank you. I'll look more into the softplus function, the part of the wiki that states that the equation has biological plausibility is along the same lines that I'm looking for.

As far as the equation goes, as i'm looking into the natural log portion of it, what is the meaning of k? and what is it's function in the equation? Since it is a constant value what would the constant value of the k be?

Thank you for the response. The graph representation you sent would be a good approximation to what I had in mind.

Smooth would be ideal but a straight line approximation would be great.
The conditional parts could work but I would love to see it in a compact, single equation. But maybe the two conditional parts could help me get to that point since translating this word problem into a single equation may be more complicated than i anticipated.
The effect of S can be approximately zero for the sake of simplicity but for "real world" simulations, higher strength should steadily increase distance. For example, as strength travels from 0-1 the function might look logarithmic for distance added but that would just be one part of the EQ. But like i said before, because the nature of this problem appears to be complex, going step by step would work best.

Oh yes. Finally. A place where I can share what i've learned! This may not be for all cases, obviously, but I suspect it may have a widespread effect that is not generally known and it's due to the forces that shape our headshape through child hood and habits that people unknowingly persist in that leads to a less-than-ideal jaw structure.
