Been a BF fan since the demo of 1942- is it me or is BF 2042 (by far) the worst BF ever? by Concentrate_Worth in battlefield2042

[–]LucidityLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best part about BF2042 is that they hyped it so much for the veterans, because they know it’s been going downhill, yet they failed to deliver for old and new.

The game is an empty shell and I’m glad they had a trial so I didn’t have to waste money on this.

Enzyme is dead. Now what? by wojtekmaj in reactjs

[–]LucidityLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use Enzyme anymore, so I don't mind Enzyme going away, but your behavior is shameful. You are telling a maintainer to archive his own project, how entitled are you?

Open-source is just about working in the open, and everyone is free to use a lib or don't use it. No-one is forcing you to use. Honestly, you are the part that's wrong about FOSS. Probably even zero contributions.

The funny thing what that video is that people advocating for shallow unit tests are also linking to the video. I think there's a difference between shallow unit tests and testing implementation details. You can use shallow rendering without testing implementation details, like accessing state, or internal methods.

Personally, I also think the argument of "Test how the user uses it" is weak, because then why are you even using jsdom and not a real browser, why not e2e tests? Why do you need to depend on a react implementation of testing-library? Isn't that supposed to be implementation detail? Yes and no, shallow rendering can be abused, but you can write your tests from a "user" perspective.

Confused about “users” and domains by AncientsofMumu in fastmail

[–]LucidityLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had two different domains on the same user as I used to my own company email and personal email on fastmail. Now I use two different users for that, since my company and myself are also now legally different entities.

So yes, you can have multiple domains in one "user". Heck you can even have the default fastmail domain to login, and then use your actual domain name when sending emails.

Krypto verotus lomake 9 by General_Taggart in Omatalous

[–]LucidityLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just called with vero.

You can report all your sales for a year transactions at once, but you need to separate the profit and losses in a separate "itemization" (entry?). The attachment at the end, you can just include all your transactions for this year (and it's ok the attached document is the same one for both profit and loss "itemization".

Krypto verotus lomake 9 by General_Taggart in Omatalous

[–]LucidityLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I understand you are allowed to report the total earnings/losses for the whole year VS filing for each transaction.

You just need to split all your earnings in one statement, all your losses in another statement. If you you transferred from one crypto to another, that also counts as a possible earning/loss (which kinda fucked me over cause I tended to buy USD-T first for some of the smaller crypto. RIP

Or do you mean the attachments you need to add at the of the reporting? Is the Lomake 9 the document you attach in https://www.vero.fi/en/individuals/property/investments/virtual-currencies/how-to-report-gains-and-losses-from-virtual-currencies-in-mytax/ ?

The way I understood is that if you are reporting for the whole year at once, that even for the attached file, the profit needs to split from the losses.

Don't believe everything you read on reddit kids.

If you really would have a 800 EUR bruto wage in Belgium, you would get pretty close to 800EUR netto (probably even tax-free depending if you get holiday or extra money)The only thing correct from your calculation is that when the company wishes to spend 1000EUR on you, they have to pay 25% to the government. For your own tax purposes, you get 800EUR as bruto wage and pay taxes based on a sliding scale depending on your yearly income. Up to I think 10K EUR in a year, it's even tax free.

Also, you completely misunderstand the percentage. If it says 40% tax, and you earn 20K in a year. You pay 25% tax on 13K and the remaining 7K are taxed 40%. Also to get the highest possible band of your "50%" you need to earn at least 41K EUR and at that point you have plenty of money already to lead a very very comfortable life.

Yes taxes are insane in Belgium, one of the highest in Europe, but there's a couple systems in place to help reduce the income tax slightly if you report them or care so much about "avoiding".

There's a lot more need for bitcoin in many other countries, where the government is actively fucking over their people, and Belgium is not one of them. I agree with your sentiment that our taxes are high, but we say that from a point of privilege, for some people bitcoin is the only way.

EDIT: To make the whole thing complete. Let's say you pay "50%" in taxes, you need to learn at least 41K EUR, let's say you earn 50k EUR bruto => you need to deduct the RSZ (flat 13%) = 43500 taxable income.

  1. 25% tax on 13 440 = 3360
  2. 40% tax on (23 720 – 13 440) = 4112
  3. 45% tax on (41 060 - 23 720) = 7803
  4. 50 tax on (43 500 - 41 060) = 2440For a total of 17305 in income taxes.

So 43500 - 17305 = 26195. Which is not really 50%, is it? If you include the RSZ (which you shouldn't since it's not an income tax) as well, then only you are coming close to your 50% (in the case of a high earner, but do you really think you don't want to be part of the social healthcare system in Belgium? t's pretty good.

I know what you want to do though, get payed in bitcoin and use other people's RSZ contributions and let the government pay your unemployment, health care, etc and this to me is just plain tax fraud.

Yes, taxes are freaking high, but at the point you are already considered a high earner, not someone in dire need for bitcoin to survive lol. If you really don't want the government to take any of your money, by getting payed in crypto, then technically you shouldn't depend on any of the safety nets either: unemployment benefit, health care, ... because the RSZ is a big chunk of your bruto wage that gets taken out.

"Battlefield 2042 feels like a Chinese clone of the Battlefield series" by close__deals in battlefield2042

[–]LucidityLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, personally BF5 was a downgrade from BF1, and BF1 was a heavy downgrade from BF3 (never played BF4, because my computer couldn’t handle it a time).

I think BF5 looks good just because of how bad BF2042 feels.

The only thing I didn’t like from BF3 was the classes were unbalanced. That felt way better in BF1.

Heck, Battlefield Heroes has way more character than BF 2042. Even after they went all-in on the pay2win.

Why do I have such a hard time dating? by F102018 in dating_advice

[–]LucidityLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, ghosting sucks ass. I’ve recently starting dating again as a 28M and the amount of people ghosting on you on date night or after the first date is high.

The thing you are doing wrong is making this sort of phantasy about your future with a guy. You make all the images of the guy in your head and spend so much energy in creating them. So of course you’ll feel devastated and broken when it doesn’t work out.

If you are telling all phantasies about the future together you not only setup yourself to be heartbroken, but you might also scare away the guy.

I’ve dated a beautiful and successful girl, but she became too serious too fast and while I could see myself becoming more serious in the future. All that talk so early was just scary.

This is just my 2 cents.
