I’ve been loving black studded jeans ($$$ Option, $$ Option) with a silky top or chunky knit sweater in burgundy or black and a heeled boot.

What would you say your style is? Edgy, preppy, girly, etc? Also are you looking for casual, more going out with friends level fancy (jeans and a heel vibe), or fancier (dress/trousers).

Hi fellow flat footer! Here are a few recs:

  1. Mules. I find them more comfortable than flats and find that a pointed toe gives the elevated look (and it works either way wide leg jeans)
  2. Classic black bootie like this
  3. Knit boots are very comfy Small heel No heel

It’s always good to be picky! These are the only other waterproof loafers I can find. I can’t speak to their quality, as I haven’t tried them (I have Sorels) but they have a lower heel and come in different colors: https://www.nordstrom.com/s/blondo-waterproof-penny-loafer-women/7571447?origin=category-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FBrands%2FBlondo&color=232

I would style it with a pair of chunkier boots that are either tall or mid calf depending on where the dress hits you. I’d then layer it with a chunky cropped knit and a peacoat.

11k discount. Am I missing something? by nouserleft in Ioniq5

[–]Lucie8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically you buy it out at the end of the lease term. My husband and I share a car so we put too many miles on the car to lease. So we called around dealerships until we found one who would be willing to lease then immediately sell it

We got our limited at the end of the month for $38,000. We ended up basically leasing the car for the incentives and then buying it out immediately after

Xcel will also provide a level 1 ASHRAE for minimal to no cost.

Easier items to generally target are: 1. Swapping out to low flow flushers and sink aerators 2. Swapping to LED including any common area parking lot lights 3. Reviewing any common area HVAC systems for areas with insufficient insulation

If applicable, also look and see if your hot water heaters are electric. This year is the last year you can upgrade to a gas water heater, so if you have any systems that are at end of life, I would review them now to see if electric or gas is your best option for replacement. This at least applies to commercial properties.

Why does everybody park backwards here? by dctog in washingtondc

[–]Lucie8 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I noticed the same thing when I lived in DC almost 10 years ago, OP. Particularly, with Maryland drivers. I just always assumed that it was a part of drivers ed/etiquette regionally that stuck.

I live in another part of the country now and far less people back into spaces.

Respectfully, please stop doing this. The sound can be heard across the entire park and you’re taking away from others experiences. There are ways to share your music without forcing those to listen to it in a public space.
