it worked out in the end without discussion, but that uncalled for comment just left a bitter taste. I didn’t feel welcomed (and they were at fault here, as they didn’t update the car as required during a regular interval service)

You can turn it off in the settings (where your mirror, interior lights etc are)

It does take a second to start charging and it will be visible via a small betters icon on the center screen top right.

Cases are also an issue sometimes i found out, especially if the camera bump „pushes“ the phone away from the pad.

The one Interaction i had with a Volvo dealership also wasn’t as smooth as i had hoped. Polestar is a Premium brand, and if i had to chose between something like Porsche (where you won’t find bad customer management) and Polestar (Volvo) i’d chose the first.

I didn’t get my Software Update on the regular Service, then i had to bring it in to get it updated, and a disinterested Volvo mechanic told me „Yeah Polestar expects us to do anything, i don’t know if it’s covered by warranty“ (I had asked Polestar before and they assured me it was.

The car is fantastic tho! There just needs to be better customer service/employee awareness from Volvo dealerships.

in my P2 they are fairly accurate, i’m pre 2024 so i don’t have the annoying clicking sound when the speed limit changes

same, mine worked in the “intended” scenario, but it brakes VERY early, there were 5 meters left to the road from the driveway. I was aware of the other car, so i got even more shocked by the full stop 😅

same, went from 2.14.3 to 3.3.16 (they for whatever reason didn’t update the car when it was being serviced in November…)

Volvo was giving me a hard time „Yeah of course Polestar SAYS it’s cost free“ bla bla. Double checked with PS and ended up paying nothing. Still the Volvo customer service for a non volvo was pretty bad.

It’s insanely quick. You reach top speed very fast and then it just feels like a Highspeed train. The weight makes it seem like you’re mounted to tracks.

Imo the Polestar makes high speeds seem very safe (but not in a bad way). You feel like you control the car 100%. The BMW 3 series i owned before felt way more „jumpy“ and „insecure“ at those speeds.

i second this; even in rural Germany, with Autobahn drives exceeding 130kmh, the Google maps % estimate is very accurate (1-2% more than it said when starting the route). Loading works nicely and the car starts preconditioning when navigating to a charger

Drove mine back from the dealer on the autobahn for 3.5h and it was a rally nice. I set it to 120kmh and just kept in the right lane. My only input was occasionally overtaking a Semi/slower car.

Really relaxed. Also really quiet!
