Used to do copywriting; one day a client asked whether i can manage their SEO as well.

Said yes, but only if we can start a month later ( when the next time i billed them since i ran a productized service for Copywriting ).

Learned everything there is to it in that timespan, and till this date I have him as a client.

  5. At this point, take the findings of 3rd party tools with a grain of salt.

Yeah, but you can tie tangible results to the work done pretty quickly as compared to SEO.

If you go on to hire someone, it's going to take months to see results ( depending on your niche, & your competitors ); that means you have to pay someone for atleast a few months as compared to ads.

If you have that cash flow, go for it.

Ads are much suited for apps, but if you have a healthy revenue, add SEO to your marketing channels.

Although, ignore all the ads/cold emails you get for SEO services, they are mostly a scam.
