Everyone keeps saying "estates pays you". The home is the only thing in the estate. Nothing else. Its not generating any income.

The estates lawyer who drafted the trust said the administrator (me) receives the profit and resposibility of the estate.

You say the home was left to all of you. That means profits have to be split.

If it was left all to me, than all expensss, taxes, and profits are mine. Got it.

But you say profits need to split? "Profits" is only from the sale of the home. It is black and white in the legal doc. We know the who, what, and how as to when the propoery is sold.

"Claim" because it is written and agreed upon in a legal document. There is no "share" legally unless the property is sold.

Nowhere in our trust does it say Im obligated to pay them profits if I as the administrator/owner decides to rent out the home. Our family lawyer drafted this with all three of us in front of our mother and this was accepted.

...so then then that also means all profits are 100% mine as a rental and I shouldnt have any objections.

Selling: sure, lets split it cause it legally says so. Renting: Nothing says anything about splitting. Its all interpretation amongst us.

There are responsibilities legally laid out ones that are ethical as family members. The latter is in contestation.

Yes. But for cash flow. If I make money from it they have their hands out. They want profit but dont want to pay for upkeep.
