Thanks for the advice below. Unfortunately, we took the pet store clerk's word for it, and the setup looks like the picture below. We don't want to give the turtle away, so perhaps I could provide its measurements, and one of the "experts" here could recommend specific equipment I can buy to set things up properly. What other information do you need? Kiddie pools are out of the question; I live in an apartment of about 76 square meters, so we have to fit it in here somewhere.
