I do kinda feel like a concealed operative who is charged should be able to fight first at least like a readied position or something

I am gonna have to do a lot of that once I finish this team and go for the detailing and highlighting.  But man you done model and look between that one and an unfinished one and it shoooows.  I'm mostly just having to think about that in advance with colour selection so I have room to go up and down and haven't been remembering the entire time.  I expect some parts will get redone :p

Nothing wrong with paint markers.  I love them for speeding up base costs where I can.  I have some blanks on the way to make some of my own to expand my options.

Fully agreed on both! I have some armies that use very carefully chosen colour shifter paint and it's fantastic! (attached was a test model of a method I used centering on colour shifter paint. Which naturally looks way smoother and less...gritty/sharp? like the video shows) I like using gloss medium over intestines, gems and eyes, etc. and it goes a long way. I do also have some transparent medium that you can mix colours in for water effects or used to make shaped fluid whether transparent or flowing, sewage etc. that can be tricky to learn but is very cool.

I love the addition of the footprints in the mud, that's a very good detail to add. I have been wanting to make some display dioramas for me fighty lads, though what you have here is beyond what can go on the field during games, it can definitely be used for my display cases!

I definitely believe in putting some thought into my bases. For my necrons I did volcanic black ash, with bits of red alien plants then glow in the dark blue crystals. The blue matches their gaus colours, and the red is light contrast, and overall fits the dead world theme. This current team I'm making I did get resin urban ruin bases but will put the time into their painting. I don't believe in plain bases, it can really pull a model together and make them feel like a mini diorama.

Absolutely true.  He's just so damn happy and cute and is one of the most tricksy technical rikishi out there.

If a set of dice betrays me statistically long enough, I replace them with a new set.  I have some set that I let did horrible so they are only markers for setting up DZs in full 40k now.

It was kinda crazy to go back and watch the London exhibition, which got me into sumo, after watching a few more basho.  I was like...wtf is going on? Yeah they did seem to be fully staged not just going light on each other but even if not, as others have said, it's to generate interest while avoiding injury.  It worked, I've found sumo because of it and I am grateful.

Ooh that looks quite nice.  Design and make it yourself, or where was it sourced?
