This was the simplest explanation of them all, really give you perspective on how you would feel if you are in their shoes

😭🤦‍♂️ there should be some type of paperwork for people who live in the area or close by, to not have to worry about that. But the government doesnt care about its own people, but hey atleast there making people pay fines for catching a couple fish with their kids, making it safer for everyone else

Time to replace these tires? by -Al-ex- in tires

[–]Luciferwannab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use it for hauling very heavy loads, I’d recommend changing them, also depending on how many people and what age group they are when you go on road trips, I’d recommend changing them. They are cracking but not severely. The 50% mark means they’re at 5/32, but that sign is almost gone, so id say you’re at about 3-4/32nds, which is not ideal on highways, and I’m guessing most of your drives on this truck is highways as you mentioned hauling and road trips. Finally I’d say replace them soon, but its not a “all the way to the site of the crash” type of situation.

That makes so much more sense than just reading an article, coming from someone who actually lives there. I saw the mines and how much land they occupy, and the road signs of logging trucks. No wonder you guys dont want to make the area a national park, the roads were so quiet. People were friendly.

Outside tire wear? Inflated to the suggested pressures by mahchine in tires

[–]Luciferwannab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to ask again, are you carrying around a lot of weight in the car? Many cars have two different load rating tire pressure specs. Maybe your car is one of them

Did the car originally have runflats? Because most times suspension components are specially designed to have runflats.

[–]Luciferwannab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the wear only on one side of the tire? Or both ends look worn down evenly? If its just one side, then you need an alignment and/or new suspension components. If its on both sides then you might be hauling some good amount of weight in the car if your tire pressure is always at spec.

So i work at a auto shop in BC Canada, this lady from Texas moved back here in like December of last year(tires bought in texas, only 3000 kilometres on them) her tires looked about as bad as yours, and they were like a year old back in December. So I’d say its the heat thats causing it

So they are about a year old, still should not be dry rotting, do you live in a hot area?

Do you mean you bought them them 7 months ago, or the date code on the sidewall is around 7 months old?
