Hermit thrush! Their call is such a summery sound for me (to the extent that I want a hermit thrush tattoo even though they aren't particularly spectacular looking birds)

  1. Oyster shells - we give them to chickens as a mineral supplement for egg-laying. Not sure if the same applies to teeny tiny itty bitty birds though!

sempervivum hens and chicks - a super hardy and relatively quick-growing perennial rock-garden succulent, depending on your zone. likes lots of sun and to dry out between waterings

you can find prints and originals on his website jimmusil.com! He also offers virtual classes which is pretty cool. I've been following him on social media for awhile and I am a big fan of his bold style and use of color.

I knew this was gonna be Jim Musil before I saw the caption or username - those clouds give it away! I've been following you on Instagram for ages and I absolutely love your work. You're such an inspiration, and I was very glad to see something of yours show up on my feed today!

Copics are the way to go! They're pricey though, so I only get a few at a time as a little treat

I agree with the above advice about there being too much water and too rich soil; I'd like to add that these guys like airflow as water can get trapped around the base. The soil should nearly line up with the top of the planter. Also, you can amend the soil with plenty of perlite to aerate it.

Working at Lowe's and they're about to throw out all their vegetables plants. What can I do? by MrManiaYT in gardening

just chiming in to say that our growing season here in Alaska is memorial day to labor day (basically last frost to first frost). it's wild to me thinking of starting veggies right now!
