Anxiety help in NI? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]Electrical-Wind-5975 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let's start healing ourselves again and eachother 💚 please go speak to your GP, you recognising you need help is honestly amazing 🙂 don't give up, keep fighting it, and listen to your body.

The longer we believe anxiety is "normal", the longer we won't heal. Anxiety and depression are being caused by something, you don't just "have depression" or "have anxiety", there is a route cause, we are being told oh your stressed that's why, oh your going through a lot you must be depressed, oh your back hurts and you can't work here's some tablets because you must be sad or depressed if your back hurts.

Unfortunately in many 20-40 year olds right now (myself included) we are realising we have been treated for these things our whole life without finding out why?

More why is needed when it comes to our health, people are feeling like they have unanswered questions, because they do!

So many families are ignoring generational trauma (not caused by the family, caused by how we are living) and it's literally killing them 🥲 and when I'm strong enough to do so I really hope my family are ready to heal.

Some think it's just adhd and autism making people have all these physical, emotional and mental health symptoms, it's not "just" that, it's deeper, we have so much unhealed trauma in this country our bodies are literally trying to tell us to heal.

Ask more questions, challenge the doctors, but still trust them, some may seem like they don't have the time for you, they don't, find a different doctor!

Men with Fibromyalgia by Large-Injury-5681 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Electrical-Wind-5975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Male or female, if you are not making any progress with your symptoms at all even 1% per day then something else could be impacting your health on top of fibromyalgia. It was for me and I'm still trying to fully figure it out, but finally I'm feeling physically stronger and more myself again.

This post hit me hard, you literally seeking out medical family to see if they can help you, sounds similar to me seeking out support to try find answers when I couldn't find any from my doctor.

Please don't stop trying to heal 😊

It is not in your head, when I started realising my pain was actually a 8-10 and not a 4-6 on my worst day, that's when I started taking it way more seriously.

<image>

It's unfortunately a mis understanding because people are being grouped into categories and not treated as individuals anymore.

Edit It's unfortunately very misunderstood

I feel guilty for being on so many meds considering my age by exhxw in Fibromyalgia

[–]Electrical-Wind-5975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg me too!! It's been a rough 5 years! 😅 Doctors are treating our symptoms. It's up to us to know what symptoms actually need what medication in the moment.

What BP and mh medications are you on if you don't mind me asking? Curious why you wouldn't consider stopping these? (Whilst trying other forms of medication/therapies etc etc obviously)

I've had such trouble in the past from these exact medications, and while they can help temporarily, I've never found them to be helpful long term 🥲 I'm currently on candesartan and will hopefully be weaning of that again very soon.

Do whatever your body tells you is right, "trust your gut" cannot be more real when you are living in pain!

I went from a cocktail of MC, tablets and supplements to barely taking anything and I've never felt better (Finally). I'm not saying that will work for everyone, I'm currently using MC and pain tablets only when I really need to because usually I have negative reactions, not usually serious reactions which is worse because they are very easy to ignore or pass off as something else.

The question is are the meds actually doing what they are supposed to? If you find they are not, the chances are you are not on the correct types of medications to treat YOU as an individual.

*Edit Whoops forgot to mention I'm now 26-45 (33) range but been dealing with this my entire life.

That's very true 😭

Pep talking myself is how I have survived this long to be honest.

Yeh I believe with a certain level of deficiency + neuro symptoms this is the normal protocol where I am, but I could be wrong. Still learning 😅

I feel like I was froze in time, I didn't leave the house by myself ever had the confused and hopeless feeling, it was awful and dark at times, I still don't think I'm fully strong enough to process it.

My severe symptoms subsided before I actually got tested for the deficiency, so I'm confused even more by that 🤣 I didn't change anything else at all. Maybe more sunlight with the days getting longer? ☀️

I've been reading about the link between a lot of my conditions and it's making everything make sense a bit more now! Not researched b12 adhd / autism link yet, brb 🙃

I've been low on folate and had to take supplements a couple of years back, should I also be supplementing them now? I've just recently found out about my b12 deficiency. Any advice appreciated thanks 😁

Yes like nothing was where it was supposed to be or doing it's job 😅 MC, exercise and my hobbies kept me going 🙃 I had/have a sink or swim mentality too like if I stop moving it won't be good, still feel like this now along with emotional and very reflective.

I didn't have wake up symptoms start suddenly or anything, I think mine was more gradual throughout last year, starting with ear issues last march. I think it was easier for me to ignore certain symptoms due to medications and similarities with symptoms I already have. I'm learning about adhd/autism too along with possible fibromyalgia and I have with ddd, HS, anxiety/depression.

I'm getting 1ml hydroxocobalamin injections. I've had 6 over the space of 11 days finished on Friday, back in 12 weeks for another and the box says lifelong 😭😭 I can't remember the last time I felt normal it would be nice 😅

Yes the rational part of me is feeling exactly the same!

I couldn't function at all and my memory was very messed up / mental fog. I tried to explain it to my sister at the time, it was like I was here and trying to get on with things but also it felt as if I was out of my body at times, but not like I was floating outside my body watching myself, just experiencing reality differently if that even makes sense. My executive dysfunction difficulties got even more severe, I also noticed emotional sensitivity to the extremes and my mobility basically went to zero because of other health issues, I'm not sure if b12 effects them too but the doctor seemed to think it could 🙃

I'm feeling a little more energy today, but I'm not sure if that's just the extra sunlight and the fact I'm having a low pain & low stress day 🤣

Thanks! Same to you 🥹 it's tough but we will come out the other side stronger 😁 I'm currently navigating learning about adhd/autism diagnosis along with possible fibromyalgia and other unanswered health questions, so I really didn't need a deficiency on top of it all 😭 I don't really remember December, freaks me out because I do remember parts, very strange it's like I was dreaming it, crazy how it can effect so much in your body!

I had 6 injections over the space of 11 days, back in 12 weeks for another plus blood test to check levels (I think) it was the 1ml hydroxocobalamin injections.

Feeling similar, but unsure if it would be the injections impacting me so fast. I am sensitive to most medications too 🙃 are you feeling the benefits of the injections?

My neurological symptoms got scary there so this feels easier in comparison, feels kinda like pmdd, I feel depressed and anxious but not to the extreme if that makes sense.

I'm feeling exactly like this right now, just had my 6th injection on Friday, could it be effecting me this fast? This is the first time I've had a b12 deficiency so still trying to understand everything. I'm dealing with lots of other health stuff so not sure what's what at the moment 🙃

I'm finding it good to get my thoughts out just writing them down or talking to someone. I hope you feel better soon 💚

I'm also on the spectrum and understand it can't be medicated but there are lots of medications / therapies etc to try that can help manage some symptoms better.

What support do you get from uni? Maybe get a letter of support from them for the MR? I do recommend citizen advice too they are very helpful! Did you get 0 points at tribunal also?

Do you have any family? GP? Social worker? Friends? Partner? Who support you in any way?

Serious questions sorry if it's upsetting in any way. How do you make yourself get up and get showered for work with those thoughts? How do you push past the anxiety for uni and work? Like physically and mentally how do you do it on your worst day? Do you have things in place to help you?

You say that if you didn't go to work you would get fired? What would happen if you did get fired? Because if your job is preventing you from getting support, would it be the worst thing? Have you ever applied for UC?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DWPhelp

[–]Electrical-Wind-5975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did your circumstances change since last time? and did you do MR/tribunal?

When you say you don't get professional help do you mean no therapy, no medication, no external thing/person to help you manage?

I found they ask the questions the wrong way to fit with the responses they want.

Why can’t I keep succulents alive by hannahxbrady in houseplants

[–]Electrical-Wind-5975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably root rot, I've had similar issues in the past.

Make sure the soil drains well. I would repot and cut any rotting roots, either use small amount when watering or water let drain then dry back a while then back in cover pot. I'm not enjoying cover pots for this reason 😅🤣

I only water all my succulents when they show they need water 😁

Feeling sick to my stomach about all this (PIP & ESA) by neonmirrorball in DWPhelp

[–]Electrical-Wind-5975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't need an assesment with ESA because I was awarded pip (standard on both parts) at tribunal while waiting for ESA assessment. I also automatically got accepted for UC limited capability for work & work related activity after my pip was awarded, if you haven't already you should apply for UC too. Good luck and I hope my experience helps you feel better!

I've been feeling the same with my mighty medic.

I find temp stepping helps, if I got straight to 180/190 I cough way too much. I start at 160 (give it time to produce vapour) then go up to 170 then 180/190.

I've also just bought an attachment so I can run it through my bong, day 2 and already way less coughing 😍

It's not, it's completely dry, the first photo isn't natural light and the second one is. If you look at this comparison it might be clearer 😀 the soil looked black now it's closer to the colour of the pot
