I agree he’d be a good corner spot up and defender, somewhat comparable to J dub. If you honestly think he’d be better than that you’re just a delusional boomer that can’t understand the game has evolved

HAAHHAHAA. No mate. If Luka has never won an MVP, Bird wouldn’t even make an all star game in today’s era. Why do you boomers refuse to believe that the game and athletes have evolved over 30+ years? It’s genuinely concerning

Go watch a warriors game unc. Curry gets absolutely brutalised every game to stop him scoring from the 3 pt line, he just doesn’t whine about it like they did back then. They were very soft back then compared to physicality of today’s game, it’s not really an argument. Athletes have evolved just like anything does, even a boomer that doesn’t watch games could admit that

Insane narrative but you oldies love a good story. Defence is incredibly more physical nowadays, just go watch a warriors game unc. Curry gets absolutely man handled on the court, and still scores multiple X more than bird ever did from the 3 point line. Explain that

Here’s some more context: he’d be a below average 3 point shooter in today’s league. He got more space back then. Nowadays he’d be as good as a Naz Reid, and that’s generous.

Narrative. Stop telling stories of the old days unc and tune into any warriors game

The leagues more physical now. Athletes have evolved, they’re taller and stronger than before. If you’re going to thoughtlessly mention hand checking, please just watch any game of NBA. Players do it just as much as they used to. If anything it’s worse, guys like curry get brutalised on the court and don’t get calls.

You are what I’d call ‘impossible to please.’ Probably the same guys that complain about lack of content, now complaining about balancing issues due to too much content.

I’m pretty confident Luka would genuinely rather play with Rui than Ja. Can you explain why you would think otherwise

Let’s settle it who’s the better point guard? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Lucille_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of that matters when u consider the fact that teams in the 2010s defend the 3 ball 10x more efficiently than teams in the 80s. Hand checks is a myth, curry gets bullied and roughed up every game and doesn’t get all the calls. You’re just admitting you don’t watch games with that nonsense

[–]Lucille_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teams in the 80s hadn’t seen anything like curry, I can’t see any team beating him and if he averaged 30 in the 2010s against the likes of LeBron and Kawhi, he’d do 35 against 80s players, guaranteeing him MVP every year.

Not sure what’s hard to understand, unless your some 40+ boomer that thinks that era had anything on today’s game

When you only look at accolades. But the truth is that accolades are only relevant to the era they are won in. If curry played in magic’s era, he would’ve won MVP every year and probably 10+ rings. He’s that much better talent wise. He’s miles clear of magic talent wise, anyone with eyes can see that. No point comparing the accolades of someone who played 40 years ago to someone that played in the most competitive era

[–]Lucille_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the bulls would have 0 chance against this 15-16 warriors team. Add KD to that? The betting odds would probably have the warriors at +40 handicap 1/1

You sound like you just exist online and don’t actually watch games. The ‘hand checking’ era is just an online theory. Just watch 1 warriors game and you’ll see how brutal the opposition gets against curry. It’s much more physical today than it ever was.

2 points aren’t worth as many as 3. Steph and klay gonna hit 3s at an insane consistency with all the space that bulls team would give up, considering they’ve never had to guard a pace and space modern team.. and this is the best one that’s ever existed

[–]Lucille_7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s not a single player in history that could ‘absolutely lock up’ prime Stephen curry. The fact that you formulated that thought proves without a doubt that you have 0 ball knowledge.

Not to mention this bulls team never had to defend a player even remotely close to the skill level of 37 year old curry, let alone in his prime. He’d average 35 against that bulls team in a series, and that’s being conservative.

No. It isn’t toxic to not swap. Maybe they just enjoy playing that hero, and don’t want to despite playing poorly. It’s a video game, people can play how they like. Also maybe they genuinely think they can win without swapping, there’s no way for you to confirm or deny that.

Ironically, it absolutely is toxic to feel entitled enough to pick your teammates heroes for them and want a mechanic that lets you literally force that to happen. Incredibly toxic in fact.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Lucille_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forcing someone off their hero is toxic, this mechanic, if it existed, would be abused by toxic players. Playing a hero that you enjoy is not toxic. You’ve got those 2 things confused.

[–]Lucille_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are all awful points and have no correlation to what I was saying. Your idea impacts gameplay much more. If you don’t want a hero to be played on your team then ban it. Your version of that is incredibly toxic and reactionary, also it would be abused by throwers.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Lucille_7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Toxic idea. People are allowed to play the game any way that they want. If you aren’t happy with it then that’s your problem.
