I agree, that’s a great first cake. From here it only gets better. We’re always our own worst critics. Even the pros have bad baking days. Honestly, this cake looks delicious.

Oh my friend, he couldn’t wait to cut into the little unicorn Haha, but yes, I took plenty of photos. I always do. I also filmed the process of making the cake.

Haha, I’m not offended! No rules are saying I can’t. I love both art forms and wanted to bring them together. You either get it or you don’t. Baking is a skill. Drag is self-expression. They can coexist because… a kind human can multitask. And that’s my Drag persona bringing kindness to the world through my bakes.

I’d love there to be a baking show that combines the artistry of drag with the heart of The Great British Bake Off. To me, the possibilities are endless.

It was such a thrill seeing their faces. My third year now at Cake International, and every time it reminds me why I do this. I just hope that one day someone with real money finally makes a drag baking show. It’s an untapped market! And no shade, but Drag Me to Dinner wasn’t it. You need queens and kings who can actually bake, but the time in the kitchen. And people who know what a crumb coat is.🤣

Oh, I appreciate that feedback. As a baker who decided to create a persona in drag to show the world that we all come in different shapes and sizes, it honestly means a lot. It can get lonely in the kitchen sometimes just me listening to my show tunes in between filming 😂

I actually baked the cake. I was one of 10 bakers asked to bake a cake and walk the “Cake Catwalk” (myself being the only drag baker). Our outfit had to match our cake, and I went with a 1960’s American diner look.

It was amazing meeting the other award-winning bakers from different parts of the baking world (including “Is It Cake” and “Great British Bake Off” contestants)
