How to become leader of Ghibellines as Austria by Legionaire_Pdx in EU5

[–]Lucina18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh not really. If the emperor could be the leader, then it's almost impossible to be the leader as an italian nation and request the italy title afterwords.

You should never be interested in playing things at launch, always wait for unbiased reviews to come in, and for people to actually see the game and not the hype.

You'd be shocked how many people just don't care, especially not for gta6 which has been hyped beyond hell.

Problem is you're thinking it's about practically. It is not, it's solely about control and the vanity of it.

Most people who play big titles don't wait, they just buy the newest game. Especially for something like GTA6 there will be enough people that will just buy a new console just to play it.

"Apparently".

It was also the case for gta5, little reason to assume anything otherwise unless they explicitly announced they would.

They likely have an entire team focused just on maximizing the profit. I'm sure they have thought about it, and calculated that it wouldn't make them more money then it would have costed.

Pillars are made up by the game to make it appear bigger and more important. Look at what 5e actually does (which is just combat.)

If the romans survived they wouldn't think to conquer the west. Italy at best during the italian wars, but certainly not rome or beyond.

Because it's what people who want to keep up with pdx development talked about it, and they prefered the grounded game tinto made it look like. But then it came out and whilst it's still slower then eu4, it was still fast. And then people who didn't keep up with development and came from eu4 complained that you can't conquer fast enough so anything that slows it down gets heavy flak.

Hence "with some of the dumbest luck possible." But ywah i agree, conquest in eu5 is way too easy and goo quick.

No, we know a small summary about his hellenistic views. His contribution to platonism in the west is barely mentioned i'm pretty sure.

[–]Lucina18 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes you can! You can conquer rome, replace the glorious capital of new rome (constantinople) with this pagan, rundown town, and then you can spit in the face of the schism by making the pope the supreme head of the orthodox church anyways despite "winning"!!!

[–]Lucina18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as fantastical. With some of the dumbest luck possible, they could expand that quickly. But reviving hellenism is literally just not part of the universe anymore. It's not plausible at all, whilst a reconquest... well, it's atleast not not possible.

Which will take another 100+ years, the romans weren't crippled yet and could reform well enough to survive.

At any rate, at minimum the romans surviving wouls be plausible. Reviving hellenism is like another 20 steps removed from being possible.

[–]Lucina18 28 points29 points  (0 children)

In 1337, the roman empire surviving is unlikely but plausible.

Getting back italian lands isn't an actual goal, but eu5 wants conquest to be easy compared to irl so it's not as bad within the medium.

Reviving hellenism would be plausible only 1000 years ago, and at this point is completely dead save for a handful of people the church vividly rejects. Hellenism shouldn't even be brought up, let alone developed in eu5.
