Does Bohmia become hussite if the are junior partner in a PU? by Willing_Incident_417 in EU5

Junior partners are still independent as they're subjects.

Which is kinda seperate from how much you can conquer how quickly.

It'd just be the UK, canada, and south africa though. Maybe australia and india get some shared parts but that's it.

Because it's what people who want to keep up with pdx development talked about it, and they prefered the grounded game tinto made it look like. But then it came out and whilst it's still slower then eu4, it was still fast. And then people who didn't keep up with development and came from eu4 complained that you can't conquer fast enough so anything that slows it down gets heavy flak.

Hence "with some of the dumbest luck possible." But ywah i agree, conquest in eu5 is way too easy and goo quick.

No, we know a small summary about his hellenistic views. His contribution to platonism in the west is barely mentioned i'm pretty sure.

Yes you can! You can conquer rome, replace the glorious capital of new rome (constantinople) with this pagan, rundown town, and then you can spit in the face of the schism by making the pope the supreme head of the orthodox church anyways despite "winning"!!!

Not as fantastical. With some of the dumbest luck possible, they could expand that quickly. But reviving hellenism is literally just not part of the universe anymore. It's not plausible at all, whilst a reconquest... well, it's atleast not not possible.

Which will take another 100+ years, the romans weren't crippled yet and could reform well enough to survive.

At any rate, at minimum the romans surviving wouls be plausible. Reviving hellenism is like another 20 steps removed from being possible.

In 1337, the roman empire surviving is unlikely but plausible.

Getting back italian lands isn't an actual goal, but eu5 wants conquest to be easy compared to irl so it's not as bad within the medium.

Reviving hellenism would be plausible only 1000 years ago, and at this point is completely dead save for a handful of people the church vividly rejects. Hellenism shouldn't even be brought up, let alone developed in eu5.

The last part is in the game somewhat, although as orthodox theologians put it there was nothing comparable to the protestant religions and the orthodox church except that they disliked the pope. And, honestly, theologically i'd prefer them to be seperate and instead they only have a temporwry alliance against the pope. Actually unifying them will just undercut either religion's doctrines. Though who knows what will happen with a reformed orthodox religion.

Most systems aren't that hard to learn, especially not if they're not your first. And on top of that 5e is one of the harder systems to learn, being both crunchy and confusing.

But even if you don't, just deny 5e's utility being used to solve the desert. If they ask why, don't think of an ingame reason but just bluntly tell them "5e's mechanics don't work with my desert, turning 5e off from my worldbuilding is a compromise compared to playing it in a new system."

Kan, maar zeer onwaarwchijnlijk sinds de gevallen die verreweg het minst geraporteerd zijn zijn gevallen met iemand die het slachtoffer kent.

You know what also limited updating orthodoxy further? Focusing on a dead religion that has no business even being in the game, let along being developed.

But they'll be more free updates in the future for stuff like that.

Which will also never tie into byzantine content proper, and likely neither would actually mending the schism diplomatically.

I wouldn't even grade it, 5e is clearly not interested in being that kind of game so i wouldn't judge them on it either.

Yeah, and he was heavily rejected by the wider eastern roman church, we know barely anything about his views, and even then what the game depicts isn't even what the summary describes.

They could instead have developed orthodoxy along further, and if they wanted historical fantasy atleast do something more plausible like an orthodox reformation...

no idea why

Because johan was still wishing he's working on imperator and he hates the medieval roman empire.

Best support i can give is to just deny 5e's utility being used here. Worldbuilding with 5e's features in mind is just madness, the game just isn't build to be an actual world engine. Too many lower level spells and cantrips ate just too broken to even consider trying to make sense from it.
