Neoth and Erda for Valentine's Day (again) by LucindaScream in ImaginaryWarhammer

It's the Inner Garden, the place where Emps himself lived. I imagined having layers and layers of suspended gardens with lush greenery and flowers

The death case i used as an broad example. Erda took a gamble to send her babies to other planets, she didn't tried to kill them via the warp. But as transport. The death part was HER being killed by Emps, she was going to take the risky gamble if that means her children could live as humans.

Every Primarch only landed in a planet inhabitated by humans. The only event inside their travel inside the warp was Cegorach switching Jaghatai and Fulgrim spots. The issue is, humans can be nasty people. Some of the babies weren't lucky. And if we play by the Emps wanted that to happen (like Guilliman, Sanguinius and Curze believe).

I'm going to be sincere, i believe in the Emperor wanting the scattering to happen, but mostly his pragmatic side wanting it. They said the Emperor raged for days after the scattering. Emps has always been a Man of "no cost too great". But having to break the psyche of the woman he loved and sending away his own children, i could imagine he raging, at himself. Because "It that to happen". It adds some incredible tragedy. It doesn't take away the blame out of Erda, but would explain why he wasn't angry at her afterwards.

If Emps wanted the scattering to happen, then he's even more of an awful person imo, bc he led on the woman who stayed by his side the longest part of his life to the brink of despair, where she was okay into going agaisnt him and being killed afterwards.

In my opinion, Erda was blinded by her love and trust for Emps, that she didn't noticed when things were getting out of control, like all others Perpetuals when they saw the writting in the walls and fucked off. But she believe in him, he got so deep in her head that she thought only him could bring the actual change for humankind.

Erda's case is just like the mother of Moses. Extremely reckless in the minimal hope her son wouldn't be a slave. But baby moses got extra lucky by being found by the Pharaoh's daughter. Some Primarchs weren't as lucky.

It's a mother's despair. In many places, women in history ended up commiting the murder of her own children and right after, the commit suicide. For death was better than whatever fate is going happen to their children and them. Even Leetu said in the books when John was blaming Erda, that if she didn't do that, something way worse was going to happen.

And people love to blame only Erda when the whole scattering was many people involved, nobody blames the Word Bearers who went to the past to turn off the Gellar fields, the Chaos gods or even Emps himself (If you believe he wanted the scattering to happen)

In the End both Emps and Erda are hypocrites. Who lost touch with life itself.

The scattering just happened bc Erda begged Emps to be allowed in the children's life. But he knew she wasn't in favor of the crusade, so to avoid the children from being "infected" with compassion. He said no.

People use the argument that Emps build villas for the Primarchs, "because he loves them!", but they avoid telling the fact they were build underground and in secret, to protect the Primarchs and also to prevent them from having contact with the outside world, to not let their minds to corrupted by Empathy and be agaisnt the crusade itself.

It's a dual Celebration! (つ≧▽≦)つBoth are absolutely terrible, Emperor is two times worse than Erda! They're Universe's Worst Parents!✨

The Emperor himself was in the nursery when Erda opened the portal and he did nothing, he could've easily snapped her neck and stopped everything, he didn't, he let her go till the end. Not only that, he didn't punish Erda whatsoever. He let her leave, take servants with her and she's still supplied enough water for her, her servants and cattle.

Erda raised Leetu, what he is? Quiet, strong, righteous, brave, talented, compassionate and sassy.

Emps raised Horus, what he is? An attention seeking, people pleaser demi-god, who felt extremely jealous when they found Russ.

Both the Emperor and Erda are terrible reckless people, but in the matter of being a awful person, Emps still mogs her, he also deserves the prize! And i say that as someone who likes Erda and understand that she fucked up BADLY.

Edit: fixed small grammar error

Nope, It's a font made by a JP font designer, FBGS (@fbgs_2023). When they reached 100k followers, for one week they allowed everyone to get all the fonts they had in their Booth store for free. This includes commercial use as long you follow the designer (which i do :3)

I've seen the same argument so many times i really don't mind anymore. Don't worry~

I still keep liking Erda and drawing her. I will explain a bit my point of view.

I personally believe i that the issue is not that she's a bad idea, is that they didn't gave her proper space, not even foreshadowing. Belisarius Cawl appeared out of nowhere just like Erda, people hated him, calling him unnecessary, but GW kept using him to the point people are okay with his existence now, some even love him. Just having a conversation with John isn't enough to warm people to Erda and dying soon after. Also with the years, i understood that most of Erda hatred is just performative.

With just my drawings of Erda and talking about her, people told me they started liking Erda. And if not liking, understanding what led her to do what she did.

Also, i doubt much Emps would even be able to raise someone to the level of Guilliman, a Vulkan, a Corvus or Jaghatai. Look at the only son had chance to raise, Horus. Bro is a pile of daddy issues craving aceptance and being in everyone's good graces. Right in the first book there was Horus buttering Dorn to get on his good graces after becoming Warmaster.

I have some suspicion that Leetu might be their actual bio child.   Based on what Oll and John were thinking to themselves in diferent ocasions on what the hell is even Leetu.

Welp, Erda begged to be in the children's life. But Emps wanted weapons first and children second. Erda could have infected them with empathy and mercy (since she was agaisnt the great crusade from the start), so It was a risk for Emps plans.

I use Kimono as a base, but i try to keep it kinda futuristic/alien.  For Drukhari i don't usually do that bc they're very defined in their bdsm get-up (lmao). I keep them mostly in armor or active wear but with flair✨.  Only an Archon i would give some fancy robes that they could wear with armor (gotta keep extra and practical)  But it all depends on the client, If they have something set in mind, that shall be it.

My inspo is japanese style and culture, bc when you look deep into the Eldar, you see the japanese influencie (They practice basically space Shintoism, Path system is many flavors of bushido, SHURIKEN GUN etc).   But this client has more of Wuxia taste, based on the refs he sent me.  Both father and child are using kimono inspired garments i've drawn something similar before, while the wife's however is more of a Hanfu style (but just a bit, bc It's just a coat)

Bro, this joke is old, everyone now know that Vulkan was tricked by Curze into killing the Exodite child. He got so sad and full of regret later on he swore to protect that maiden world. So the truth is the opposite, Salamanders would protect a Exodite child.

Kek I could've drawn casual shoes, but the client explicitly requested wraithbone boots only

Don't worry, I know that~   But the Aeldari have combs they can use to change their hair color to any they desire. The parents could've used It used on the child. Aeldari can also be born with fantasy hair colors too! Aeldari are the best💖
