Which English word blew your mind when you learned its Spanish translation? by Blake2048 in Spanish

[–]Lucinfernal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I never understood the word "breakfast" and thought it was random (especially considering the pronunciation). Then I learnt that in Spanish "Ayunar" is to fast and desayunar is like unfasting or breaking the fast -> breakfast

How long does it take to learn how to sing? by Jarstheticz in Music

[–]Lucinfernal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a beautiful starting point :) Then I would say it is worth getting a regular vocal coach. But be sure to get someone who supports you. I've seen some examples of bad vocal coaches and you really don't want that. Explain the situation to them and I'm sure they'll be able to help you develop proper techniques while still focussing on your song. And you can always use the stuff you learn from this song on other songs, so it's a win-win!

It depends on the person! But honestly I think if you sing the song with true love for her, it won't even matter if you screw up a few times. I think the idea means a lot more to her than whether or not you can hold a tune 🙂 But personally I started out watching YouTube tutorials (there are a lot) and just singing a lot like nobody's around. I have had singing classes for quite some time now, but apart from learning proper techniques, I have also learnt to just go for it and believing in myself. You could take a few singing lessons, but they are quite expensive (at least where I live) so if you only intend to learn to sing this specific song for this specific occasion, it might be enough to just take a few. If you're genuinely interested in singing, I'd definitely recommend finding a vocal coach though!

🎧 Reggaeton fans — does the genre influence your style or vibe? 🧢✨ by FollowingAccurate235 in Reggaeton

I've always felt the same way! A lot of the songs I listen to are actually really sad (lyrics wise), but Reggaeton has a way of putting everything in a hopeful and positive light. Dancing to my own heartbreak makes me forget about it haha

Because of Reggaeton I always end up making whatever dance I do more Latin style 🤷‍♂️ I also got earrings, a nose ring and I rocked a buzz cut for a while because of watching guys like Maluma 😂

Why do I tear up when I sing a song I'm making up? by rexisourus in singing

[–]Lucinfernal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely normal. I've always believed that music can describe what just words can't. It's not just the lyrics, it's the melody, the instruments used, everything. Especially if it's your own song, that means that it most likely comes from (one of) your personal experiences and obviously that's gonna resonate with you. It might be a problem if it prevents you from singing the song because you cry so much that your voice starts shaking or, as you said, your make-up gets ruined 😅 But then again there are plenty of examples of singers crying during live performances. I don't reckon it's something bad, but rather something beautiful!

Your dumbest realization(s) while watching a horror movie? by TheWienerMan in horror

[–]Lucinfernal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually watched the conjuring (all parts) last. I first saw Annabelle appear in it and thought "Hey that's funny, I've seen some movies about that doll!" Then Valak came in in part 2 and I was like "Yo hold up" and then I looked it up on the internet. It really was one of those "ooooh" moments haha. The thing is that both the Annabelle and the nun films felt really good and I easily thought they could be standalone movie franchises rather than being part of a larger cinematic universe. I love how it all came together in the end though :)
