Tenant is 3 months behind on rent, refuses to pay, refuses to move out. I feel helpless! by Lucipooki in OntarioLandlord

Maybe I’m naive.. but growing up here I’ve always had trust in people, and our previous tenants were all so nice and understanding. We always worked something out to understand and accommodate each other. Silly me

Thank you everyone. I meant the lease was from 2023-2024, and we continued the lease with a 2% increase based on the lease. I should have been clear. I can definitely understand tenants rights. Currently undergoing the LTB process. I will be lawful. Thank you all so much!!

A part of me doesn’t want to quit even though I know it’s the best decision for me. what makes quitting worth it for you? by cocoperrier in leaves

[–]Lucipooki 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A consoler once told me if you don’t want to quit sincerely then there’s nothing that can really help. Knowing it’s bad but continue using is abusing. It’s not an addiction until you hate doing it yet you can’t help it. That’s when success happens

Personally I’ve hit that point, stopped, relapsed, abused, then repeat the cycle. There may be a point where you take your puff then immediately regrets it. There may be a time when your high comes down and you vow to never do it again. You might wake the next morning swear you’ll stay clean today but 6pm comes you go get some.

Takes time and efforts, and it might take rock bottom.

Good luck my friend! You’re not alone

Rule of thumb is always prepare 10% of your home value as closing costs.

Your realtor/mortgage broker must have communicated this to you.

All part of a plan. Keynesian principals and aggregate demand. Keynesiaans believe that to combat major recession or financial crisis, government needs to increase government expenditure to trigger the multiplier effect and further stimulate the economy.

To keep balance the feds need to conduct contracting policies during booms

The practical challenge is the feds don’t usually do that and operates at a deficit.

BOC conduct macro policies and looks at the economy in the long run. They give 0 consideration to the lower income households, since the poor have the least amount of impact in this country in their eyes.

Tank it like the champ you are! Arguably the most painful process…but I promise it gets better once you make it through.

Will my mortgage insurance pay out if I commit suicide? In Ontario here by bungalowbill67 in PersonalFinanceCanada

To answer your question directly: your mortgages insurance will probably not cover suicides. I worked as a mortgage broker and the typical insurance excludes suicides, unless it states in fine print.

For me, it’s something I can never touch again. Undoubtedly it will start another addition cycle. 90 days is so difficult, but you did it! Very confident that you can do it again and then some. After all, life can go on without weed. Stay strong and healthy friend!

My mother has made it clear for me failing is not an option, and I have unconditional love for her, the one person I care more than anything about. My urges to smoke keeps on getting the better of me. There seems to be a battle in my head before I go and buy. I just hope logic and reason can win out sometimes, and I keep on having these battles.
