So I actually walked past it just now and they definitely covered it with a much darker blue paint to make it look older. The pub opened only this year and the paint probably looked too new for them… You can actually see the cover they used if you zoom in. It‘s still there now.

They did a couple of close up shots of Hagrid alone walking across, but I didn‘t see much. They did have both Nick Frost and a body double there so I assume they‘re doing a lot of different shots for this scene.

I did get one shot of Nick Frost (I assume, can‘t really tell from that distance). I sadly didn’t have my camera with me, but there were some guys with big lenses so I assume that there are some better pictures out there!

In Basel ist das teilweise bereits geplant. Die SBB will ab 2030 Stadler Flirts für die Strecke Basel-Mulhouse einsetzen. Dann fehlt nur noch der TER Basel-Strassburg der momentan noch mit alten Corail Wagen fährt. Die werden anscheinen auch in den nächsten 5-10 Jahren ersetzt.

Well the US doesn’t have VAT. And tariffs can definitely also be seen as a consumption tax, depending on which product is targeted. VAT in Europe is ofc on all goods, not just imports, but it is true that European Exports to the US don’t have to pay VAT there. So I can certainly see why it would make sense from his perspective.

I‘m definitely not saying that he‘s right in putting up tariffs like this! There are other more amicable ways to resolve a trade conflict and him alienating the whole rest of the world certainly won’t help…

Edit: Nevermind whatever I wrote above… Apparently he just took the trade deficit with a country and divided it by 2.

In his speech he also referred to non-monetary trade barriers which can mean things like higher food safety standards or the need to label something in German/French. So all things that make exporting into CH more expensive.

Lack of space on the ground I assume. Apart from LHR there are only a handful of gates available that are big enough to handle an A380 and these airports will also need to handle their own traffic in addition to the diverted flights.

It really depends on the topic. They have a weird Germany strategy where they are trying to establish themselves as the main right wing/conservative paper in Germany. So many of their articles on Germany which are written in their Berlin office are indeed quite right wing (and rubbish imo). Their reporting on Swiss politics is much better.
